Johnson Wins Rack
Company Fetes Two
Warren A .Johnson, of Beaumont,
was one of two men in the northern
Luzerne County area to win a prize
in the national contest for Saab
owners, according to Dan and Betty
Meeker.
Warren's well-known car puts in
many rugged miles in the hill country
around Harveys Lake as the man
behind the wheel delivers the mail.
Kunkle Motors was the cnly dealer
in the nation to have had two win-
ners in the contest, for which first
prize was a new car or trip to Swe-
den.
Awards of a roof rack to Warren
and a utility trailer and hitch to
Thomas Phillips, Edwardsville, were
made to the two men at a Smorgas-
board party at Kunkle Community
Hall Tuesday night.

Back Mountain was well repre-
sented in Wyoming Seminary’s May
Pay celebration Saturday, with May
Queen Susan Sgarlat, of Kingston
and Harveys Lake, attended by
runner-up Lisa Harvey, Huntsville,
and Carolyn Lacy; Terrace Drive, a
member of the Queen’s court.
All seniors, the girls were chosen
by members of their class, who
write the names of seven girls they
consider the prettiest. The two
highest numbers of votes are Queen
