Crown Major League
Dallas Nursey took 3 points from
Dallas Dairy Friday night in three
close games, keeping a tight hold on
firet place with 877, points. The
“trecgrowers” lost the first to the
“milkmen” by 2 pins, coming back
in the second to win by 19. The local
“milkmen”, however, fought cour-
ageously in the final game and lost
to the “planters” by 4 pins, total
by 21.
Harvilla was ‘“nursery’s” leading
scorer when he spilled 604 pins in-
cluding 216 ‘and 211 games. Paul
Kamoeint had 190-193 (551); Steve
DeBarry hit 191-202 and Nick
Stredny,” 196. Pete Schalm led
“dairymen” with 196-221 (591); Leo
. Yankoski had 222 (582); Don Bol-
" ton had 194 and Mike Gorey, 191.
"Top scorer of the night was
Cliff Garris for ‘Jim-Jon. Cliff
scattered 657 pins in games of
221-226-210. His team lost all
to Gosart’s Appliance’s, as two
of the “appliance men” turned
in 600’s. Al Ciccarelli toppled
257-194-202 (653), Frank Kar-
dell had 235-213 (627) and
Dick Myers had 243 (583).
[Ted Henness hit 201-200 (570)
for Jim-Jon. -
Harold Kocher posted a nice
series of 256-211 (646) for
Dallas Shopping Center as the
team tosk 3 from American Le-
gion. The “shoppers” had a
beautiful game of 1065 as Har-
old hit 256, Klass 223, Shoe-
maker 205, Krajewski 190 and
Pineno 191. Lew Reese, Le-
gionnaires had 193-204 (568).
Another big team was West
Side Novelty with 2902 total
pins. Charlie Williams and
Mike Corgan both rolled 633
series. Charlie piled up 194-
247-192 and Mike spilled 234-
201-198. Ted Kostrobala had
237 (578). The “West Siders”
tock all 4 from Birth’s Esso,
who had Pave Eddy hitting
215-215 (601) and Marty Pan-
unti with 1983-195 (563).
Phillips Supply took 3 from Monk
Plumb’ng & Heating with Tony
Bonomo posting 211-238 (608) and
G. Harris rolling. 220(564). Jack
Trudnak led “plumbers” with 203
(573). Jim Lohman had 220-192
(561).
Parry Gulf and Shavertown Lum-
ber split 2-2. Pete Hospodar led

(616) as the “truckers” took 4
from Dallas Lions. Kocher led
Sportsmen’s Bar to a 4 point
+ win over Wreckers with 210-215

son’s. Meade’s vietory was supported

| Easter Is Over!

| gave a sigh of relief when Easter
| came and went as up to this time
they had officiated at the birth of
lambs and
| seven Black Angus calves. Two of
the lambs were born on Easter, a
! calf on Good Friday; litter of four
Persian kittens, also were born on
Easter. In addition to a herd of
Black Angus cattle and a large
flock of sheep, the Gabels also
keep a flock of geese on hand,
‘ which act as their watchdogs, and
, the geese too, started to hatch on
. Easter.
| The Gabels sold quite a few
, lambs for Easter and will have an-
| other batch to sell off in a few more
weeks.
