Thursday night at Lake
eleven students of Spanish III:
Susan Fielding, Kathie Mingus,
Marguerite Feist, Mary Ann Jeffery,
Rosetta Clark, Mary Ann Kuchem-
ba, Wilma Long, Jay Ruckel, Ken-
neth Ellsworth, Alan Landis and
Karl Squier.
In do-it- yoursclt Spanish = cos-
tumes students sang Spanish songs
in the second part of the program.
and in the third part gave a por-
trayal of the death of a donkey, its
burial attended by the entire wvil-
lage, which considers a good don-
key a member of the community,
according to Mrs. Anthony Mar-
chakitus, Spanish instructor.
Part four was a Spanish dance;
part five a bullfight in which Karl
Squier took the stellar role of the
bull, dressed in a set of horns
topping a costume suggestive of the
arena.
Hot Spanish food in the Home
Ec room followed. Encilados, chili,
and other Spanish foods left the
gathering parched for a long cool
drink of sangria punch.
Parents asked that, the Fiesta be
considered a regular part of the
school ‘activity, .to be scheduled
again for next year.
