TOP GARDENER
A. J. Moreck, Pioneer Avenue, is
looking forward to spring when he
the list! The Detwilers attended a
Faculty ‘Womens’ Dinner at Wilkes
College Saturday Evening and after
the dinner decided to go for a cup
of coffee. What did they do—and
where did they go for it? Prof.
Detwiler is a member of the An-
thracite Flying Club so they boarded
the Cessna 172 plane owned by the
club and flew to Reading, only to
find upon their arrival that the
coffee shop they wanted to patronize
was closed for the night. But that
didn’t deter them! They headed for
Harrisburg—only to find that their
particular coffee shop was also
closed; so they headed back to the
Forty-Fort Airport. Where do you
think they got their cup of coffee
— you guessed it, at home. Prof.
Detwiler said he wanted to get in
some night flying experience —
which accounted for the trip.
