OUGH OF DALLAS, COMMON-
WEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA fix-
ing the tax rate for the fiscal year
1963.
BE IT ORDAINED AND ‘ENACT-
ED, and it is hereby ordained and
enacted by the Council of the Bor-
ough of Dallas, Commonwealth of
Pennsylvania:
SECTION 1. That a tux be and
the same is hereby levied on all
property within the said Borough
subject to taxation for Borough
purposes for the fiscal year 1963,
as follows:
Tax rate for general Borough pur-
poses, the sum of (15) mills on
each dollar of assessed valuation;
For debt purposes the sum of
(3%) mills on each dollar of as-
sessed valuation;
For other purposes as follows:
Light, Water and Fire, the sum of
(3%) mills on each dollar of as-
sessed valuation;
Making a total tax rate for all
Borough purposes of twenty-two
(22) ‘mills.
SECTION 2. That any ordinance,
or part of ordinance, conflicting
with this ordinance be and the same
is hereby repealed insofar as the
same affects this ordinance.
ADOPTED ‘this 12th day of Feb-
ruary, A. D. 1963.

OUGH OF DALLAS, LUZERNE
COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, levying
a per capita tax of five dollars for
the calendar year 1963.
BE IT AND IT IS HEREBY OR-
DAINED AND ENACTED, pursuant
to the authority of the act of June
25, 1947 (P. L. 1145) and its amend-
ments, as follows:
SECTION 1. There is hereby
levied a percapita tax of five dol-
lars for each adult person who shall
reside within the limits of Dallas
Borough at any time during the cal-
endar year 1963.
SECTION 2. All per capita taxes
levied and assessed pursuant to this
Ordinance shall become. due and
payable, shall be subject to the
same discounts and penalties and
shall be collected in accordance with
the provisions of the Act of May
25, 1945 (P. L. 1050).

Another section of Dallas Shop-
ping Center swings into business
as Warren Stanton, Stanton’s Tele-
vision and Appliances, Inc.,. an-
nounce annexation of a fifteen by
seventy foot space to his present
establishment.
To inaugurate his more than
doubled floor-space, Warren is hold-
ing a special sale starting Tuesday.
The new side, which has been
used until now for storage, will
house all his ‘‘white appliances,”
such as refrigerators and stoves.
Warren has conducted business
at the Shopping Center for one year,
before which he was located in

To Cover Township
Five new police officers were ap-
pointed for Dallas Township by
Board of Supervisors at its meeting
Wednesday night, and six others in-
cluding chief and assistant chief
were ‘re-appointed.
Explaining ‘the appointment of
John Gosart, Frank Gelsleichter,
Ernest Reese, Phil Walters, and Pat-
rick McGough to the existing staff
of himself, his assistant and three
special officers, Chief Frank Lange
said the Board felt that the large
number of places to be patrolled
warranted the action.
Among the places demanding at-
tention are the schools, both cross-
ings and at games, several com-
munities, and Kunkle farmer dance.

nual winter appearance Tuesday on
Huntsville Road, Parrish Heights,
as twenty-five nibbled at Dan
