The couple had operated a res- taurant in the Sunset sector of the lake area for a number of years. In failing health since surgery last spring, Mrs. Watkins and her husband left for Florida in October. Returning November 24, she was hospitalized two days later. Her wish' to spend Christmas at home resulted in readmission to the hos- pital on the holiday in serious con- dition. Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Otto Carlson and Hannah Johnson Carlson Carter. She spent most of her life in Court- dale, attending Luzerne Borough Schools. She was a member of Courtdale Methodist Church. Nesbitt, 46, Trucksville, was laid to rest Wednesday afternoon. Stricken seriously ill on Friday, he was rushed to Nesbitt Hospital, in the Kingston Township ambulance Saturday atfernoon, passing away at 9 Sunday evening. Son of the late Chester and Gert- rude James Nesbitt, he was born in Wilkes-Barre. He was a grad- uate of Forty Fort High School and Penn State College where he re- ceived his B. S. in Chemical En- gineering. He had resided in Kingston Town- ship since his marriage to Doris Leek a number of years ago. He was employed by the Hazard Okon- ite Company until illness forced his retirement. A brilliant mathematician, he had continued his studies, throughout the six years of his confinement.
