Irem Country Club on January 17
when new members, Mrs. Ronald
C. Carruthers and Mrs. Angelo Guida
were introduced. Mrs. Paul Goddard
was a guest.
Wilkes-Barre Women of Rotary
extended an invitation to the group
to attend a Smorgasbord and read-
ing by Elizabeth ‘Conrad Tuttle at
Hote] Sterling on February 26. Res-
ervations may be made with Mrs.
Herman Otto.
Mrs. Joseph Sekera reported: on
a number of calls made and gifts
distributed to shut-ins of. the area.
A report on the Christmas Dance
was given by Mrs. Ralph Postorive.
The continued need for the col-
lection and’ distribution of usablé
children’s clothing was emphasized
by Mrs. Dale Parry, Welfare Chair-
man, who also stated that the Club’
had purchased shoes and needed
items of clothing. Food and money |
have also been donated for this
cause.

Cynthia Ruth Pritchard
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Pritchard,
Wyoming Seminary, announce’ the
birth of a daughter, Cynthia Ruth
January 12 in Nesbitt Hospital.
The baby, five pounds, ten ounces
at birth, is their first child, also
the first grandchild on both sides of
the family.
Mrs. Pritchard is the former San-
dra Jones, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Kently Jones, Wyoming. Mr.
Pritchard, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Verne Pritchard, Trucksville, is on
the faculty of Wyoming Seminary.

Department To Banquet
Fifteenth Annual Banquet of
Jackson Township Volunteer Fire
Department will be held at the Fire
Hall, Saturday, at 6:30 p.m. Frank

State Correctional School,

Jonathan Davis Fire Department,
