A new year and a new bowling season for many of the leagues at Crown Imperial Lanes. ‘I am back with the column after a two-weeks’ lapse, due partially to the lack of news with many leagues off for the holidays. Save On Your Printing Have It Done By THE POST Dallas Opens With 57-40 Win 21-Point 3rd Period Paves Way To Victory Dallas Senior High hoopsters opened their North League cam- paign Tuesday night with a 57-40 win over Central Luzerne .Jointure, using a 21-point surge in the third period to win going away. With Gauntlett and Letts combin- ing for 34 points, and both playing a strong game off the backboards, Dallas notched its 7th win in eight games. Cobb, Martin and Sinicrope com- pleted the scoring but it was some fine ball-hawking on the part of these three that set up numerous baskets by the Mountaineers. Losing many scoring chances be- cause of poor ball handling, Dallas held a 13-5 lead at the end of the first quarter, and by halftime, built up a 10-point margin 29-19.
