A surprise dinner party was given by their children at Hotel Sterling on Saturday evening in their honor. A large wedding cake formed the centerpiece of the festive table. Mrs. Marley received a corsage of yellow roses and Mr. Marley, a matching boutonniere. They re- ceived many lovely gifts. The couple was married in Free- land Lutheran Church by Pastor David A. Disaster Fund In response to the thousands of inquiries from throughout the United States, the Uniontown Morn- ing Herald and Evening Standard today established a ‘“Robena No. 3 Disaster Trust Fuad” to provide for the education, health and welfare of dependents of the miners who lost their lives Thursday, Dec. 6, in the explosion at the Robena mine. Immediate steps are being taken, according to S. W. Calkins, president of the Uniontown newspapers, pu lishers of the Herald and any to incorporate the organization as a non-profit charitable corporation, It will be administered as a by a board of trustees composed oF prominent citizens in ‘the Union- town area. Names of the trustees will be announced shortly, Mr. Cal- kins said. Contributions may be mailed to: “Robena No. 3 Disaster Trust Fund”, P. O. Box No. 1149, Union- town, Pa. Inquiries have been received from throughout the United States from persons expressing a desire to con- tribute to such a fund, Mr. Calkins said. Cash contributions will be held in trust by the fund, and will be used to provide for the education, health and welfare of the children of the miners who lost their lives. In addition, other needs of the fam- ilies will be met as required.
