His broken hip is mending and he is up some every day. He is one of the most worthwhile people to visit; not much hand to talk about his own ailments but thoroughly inter- ested in the state of the world out- side. His daughter Catherine is mar- ried to Rev. William Gray, a fine young man in the Presbyterian ministry. He used to be pastor at Wysox. Recently he and his family spent a year in Scotland where the Pres- byterian denomination is very much at home. He has accepted a call to the Great Island Presby- terian Church at Lock Haven. It isp’t news that Bill Perry the bee- man has been to Florida and back and will go again soon. For that is part of his business. He has bees working for him in Florida in the winter; then brings them (or their descendents) north to work for him here in the summer. His mother occupies the first floor and performs all her own household tasks, Mr. Miers having passed away many years ago. An active worker in Lehman Methodist Church and community affairs, this venerable lady turns to quilt making as one of her chief hobbies. .
