in the league.
Huntsville Christian is beginning
to show signs of last year’s cham-
pionship form and when player
coach Clint Brobst is back Don
Fossedal, Pete Letts, Gary Dietz
and company intend to take a back
seat to no one if they can help it.
East Dallas has the scoring punch
of Evans, Tenza and Lamoreaux,
and Shavertown can make trouble
for any team when Bob Hontz and
Donnie Rome get a hot night.
St. Theresa's has come up with
a real scorer in John Carey, and
with Don Purvin and Leech to help
him, opponents won’t be' able to
relax until the final buzzer has
sounded.
Harveys Lake vs. Shavertown
With sharp-shooting Zeke Hinkle
leading the way with 30 points
Harveys Lake ran rough shod over
Shavertown 77-55. Harveys Lake
is beginning to make its bid for
the number one spot and they are
going to make it rough for any
team who tries to stop them. Dave
Schales and Gene Brobst did out-
standing work on the boards and
B. Harris Searfoss, Bolton and
Crispell played a fine floor game
to aid in the team victory. Don
Rome and Bob Hontz combined
for 37 points with Rome scoring
17 in the last half.
East Dallas vs. Prince of Peace
In an exciting ball game that was
nip and tuck all the way through
Prince of Peace defeated East Dallas
in an overtime period 60-59. Fouls
were the deciding factor and T.
Richardson who led Prince of Peace
in scoring with 22 points dropped
in eight out of 10 in the fourth
quarter and extra period. Jim
Thomas gave him a lot of help and
contributed 19 points to a victorious
cause. Wes ...vans, Fred Lamor-
eaux and Tenza did outstanding
work for [East Dallas scoring 50
points between them.
East Dallas ran into foul trouble
the second half and Prince of Peace
exploited their opportunity and
cashed in on crucial one and one
situations.
