Patty Hughey, eleven year old
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry
Hughey, Overbrook Avenue, has re-
ned from Nesbitt Hospital where

-announced the birth of a baby girl
at Mercy Hospital on December 9.

York City. The Owens were observ-
ing ‘their thirtieth wedding anni-
versary. They have one child, Mrs.

Douglas Cassar Is
Patient At Geisinger
Douglas Cassar, manager of the
Middle Department Association of
Fire Underwriters with offices in
Kingston, is a patient at Geisinger
‘Medical Center after being stricken
ill at his home in Oak Hill Thurs-
day night.
NY r. Cassar was taken first to Nes-
+ Hospiital in Lehman Ambulance
and later transferred to Geisinger
where he is on the critical list.

Wed Twenty Two Years
Mr, and Mrs. Willard Covert,
Harris Street, Fernbrook, will ob-
serve their twenty-second wedding |
anniversary and Mr. Covert’s birth-
day quietly at their home on Friday,
December 14. Mr. Covert is re-
cuperating from a heart attack that
he suffered three months ago.
Mrs. Covert is the former Anna
Skrekut of Kingston.. Mr. Covert
is son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jo-
seph Covert of Trucksville. The
couple was married in Grace Epis-
copal Church, Kingston, by the Rev.
Ralph A. Weatherly. There are
three children, Joanne and Robert
at ‘home and Gloria Jean, student
at Dallas Senior High School.
Before he became ill, Mr. Covert
was employed by Back Mountain
Lumber Company. .
Yankowskis Have Girl
Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs.
Henry Yankowski, Chase Manor, on
the birth of a daughter, June Mary, |
who arrived at 3:42 a. m., Novem-
ber 29, at General Hospital, weigh-
‘ing in at seven pounds six ounces.
June had the following brothers and
sister awaiting her arrival from the
hospital: © John, David, Daniel and
Jane. ;
Mrs. Yankowski, the former Helen
Kervalavage of Wilkes-Barre is a
the General Hospital. Mr. Yankowski
is the manager of the Acme Store
in the Heights Section of Wilkes-
Barre.
James Martins To Spend
Holidays With James 3rd
Mr. and Mrs. James A. Martin,
Lehigh Street, will leave Decem-
ber 20 for Dallas, Texas, to spend
the holidays with their. son and
his wife, Mr. and Mrs...James. A.
| Martin HI, and the grandchildren,
James ‘A. IV, aged three and Lynne
Ellen, nine months.
Mr. Martin is in charge of U.S.
Real Estate for the states of Texas,
Oklahoma and Louisiana under the
Department of Health and Educa- |
tion.
He is also attending Southern
Methodist College and will graduate
in June with his degree in Law.
His dad was former superintend-
ent of Dallas Area Schools in the
Back Mountain region.
Fred Stout, Ninety
Fred Stout, Wyoming R.D. 3, will
celebrate his ninetieth birthday an-
niversary tomorrow, December 13.
Mr. Stout was born at Mt. Top. He
is in fairly good health and enjoys
his weekly copy of the Dallas Post,
gift to Back Mountain residents who

Maransky, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Michael Maransky, Main Road,
Sweet Valley.
The double-ring ceremony was
performed by Father S. F. Banas,
pastor of the church. Phyllis Phar-
ber, was organist. She entertained
with several numbers before the
wedding.
Given in marriage by her father,
the bride wore floor length gown
of white alencon lace, with fitted
| bodice, long sleeves tapered at the
wrists, and sabrina neckline. The
bouffant skirt featured a long
gweeping train. Her finger tip veil
of French illusion fell from a pill
box trimmed in sequins and pearls
and she carried a bouquet of pom
pons, white carnations, and lilies
of the valley.
Dorothy Maransky, sister of the
bridegroom, was maid of honor.
