Mrs. Edwin Britt, Mrs. Richard
Britt, Jean Davis’ and Janice
Williams.
Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Borofski,
Lake Silkworth, have named their
infant daughter, Ann Marie. Born
on Thanksgiving Day, she will be
christened December 16, at Our
Lady of Mount Carmel Church, fol-
lowed by a dinner for the immediate
families.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Perkins,
entertained friends over the week-
end, with Friday and Saturday be-
ing devoted to hunting. Guests
were Mr. and Mrs. Charles Andree,
Hatboro; William Crossley, Sr.
William Crossley, Jr., Robert and
Joseph Crossley and Jack Norris,
Croyden. Patricia was also home
for the weekend.
Mr. and Mrs. Paul Cain, Jr., Lake
Silkworth recently entertained the
former’s family at dinner. Attend-
ing were, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Cope,
Warren Bittenbender, Cloris, Sue,
Judy, Leon, John and Randy Cope,
all of Lime Ridge.
Marcia Jean George, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. William George is
observing her second birthday to-
day.

extended to the family of Mrs.
Emma Franklin who was buried
last week. :
Mr, and Mrs. Jack McClure and
daughter, Pamela Ann, Lorraine,
Ohio, were guests of Mr. .and Mrs.
Michael Maransky last weekend.
Mrs. McClure is the former Mar-
garet Maransky.
Mr. and Mrs. William George and
daughter, Marcia, and Mrs. Vida
Kitchen were dinner guests Sunday
of Mr. and Mrs. William James,
Clarks Summit.
Barry Pahler, 15, Pikes Creek,
bagged a six-point buck Saturday
while visiting with his cousins, Jesse
and Ralph Pieffer. Bernardine
Baker, Mooretown, recently spent
a weekend with Janice Pieffer. Also
a recent guest at the Pieffer home
was Mrs. Pieffer’s mother, Mrs.
Martha Pahler, Ruggles.
Mrs. Frances Thomas spent last
week with relatives in Philadelphia.
Mrs. Della Hann, looked = after
Cheryl while her mother was away.
Albert Wallace, Tom Foss and
Herbie Pieffer, working for the
Township, spent sixteen hours last
Friday, clearing and ashing the
roads during the heavy snow fall. |
Sgt. and Mrs. Ronald Grabowski
and son, Mark Allan, are spending
a thirty day leave with their par-
ents. This is the first in five years
that they will enjoy Christmas at
home. Mrs. Grabowski is the for-
mer Carol Whitesell, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Whitesell.
Mr. and Mrs. Simon Long, Moore-
town, had as guests last week-end
their son-in-law and daughter, Mr.
and Mrs. David Blaine, Newark,
N. J. Sunday dinner guests in-
cluded Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Eck-
rote and Mr. and Mrs. Lester Eck-
rote and childrem, Bett, Lester, Jr.
and Tammy, Wapwallopen. The
Longs attended the funeral last
week of Mrs. Long's aunt, Mrs.
Steele, Wilkes-Barre.
Tony Sayre and Bill Naugle, Jr.,
hunting in the Pikes Creek Area,
each shot a deer. Tony's is a spike
and Bill's an eight point.
Mrs. Caroline. Ferrey has been
confined with a virus. Also on the
sick list is Bill Sayre, ISr., Lake Silk-
worth,
The Ladies Auxiliary of the Lake
Silkworth Volunteer Fire Depart-
ment held their annual Christmas
dinner-party last Sunday. Following
a business meeting in the afternoon,
a turkey dinner and a gift exchange
party was enjoyed.
Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Kuczawa,
and son Gregg, Reading, were
guests last week-end of the latter's
parents, Mr. and Mrs. William
Naugle, Sr.
Janice Pieffer, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Herbert Pieffer, observed
her ninth birthday December 1.
Twelve of Janice’s classmates spent
the afternoon with ther. Games
were the main diversion.
Charles Spencer III and Marvin
Hagembaugh, Lake Silkworth, each
bagged a deer on opening day.
Charles’ is an eight-point and Mar-
vin’s five-point. Marvin is in the
eighth grade at Lake - Lehman
School.

Crossley, Sr. Bill, Robert, and

carols in veteran’s hospitals, in nurs-
ing homes and in other institutions

leave at his home from Camp
LeJeune, N. C. When he returns to
the Marine Corps for further train-
ing he will report to New River,
N.C.

vertebrae in her back last Monday
night as she lost her balance getting
into the family car. The car began
to drift backwards as she attempted
to get, in, there was no one else in
the car to help her at the time.
X-rays taken ‘the next morning re-
vealed the injury.
Officers and teachers of Sunday
School of Glenview P. M. Church
will hold their annual election of of-
ficers and superintendents at a
special meeting called for Saturday,
December 15, at 1 p.m. Practice for
the annual Christmas program will
be held at 1:30 at the church.
John Piskorik, Main Road, sub-
mitted to surgery in General Hospi-
tal. - He has operated a tavern for
many years on Main Road.
