The community welcomes Allan
Lamoreaux and his bride, the former
Norma Dymond, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Ernest Dymond, Dymond
Hollow, who are living with Allan’s
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Lam-
oreaux, until the spring. They were
married at’ Dymond Hollow Metho-
dist Church by Rev. William Wat-
son on November 23.
David Cooper, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Kenneth Cooper, Chase Road,
has recovered from measles. The
Coopers are crossing their fingers
hoping their other children will not
catch them for Christmas.
The community welcomes Mr. and
Mrs. Herman Fry who have pur-
chased the Allen residence on Chase
Road and moved in on Sunday. The
Allens have moved to Kingston.
Mrs. Fry is a sister of the popular
baker, Joe Emerick.
Mr. and Mrs. Sterling Brown at-
tended the annual Christmas party
of Air Products Corp. Saturday
evening at Hotel Redington. A
Christmas party for children will
be held Sunday afternoon at the
Redington. The Browns’ boys, Rich-
ard, Gary and Leslie, have been
invited.
Township Commissioners have
accepted delivery of a new Dodge
truck and have already put it to
use, plowing the twenty-three miles
of road in the township. This new
truck replaces an old second hand
truck which was constantly in need
of repairs. With 23 miles of roads
to maintain, ash and plow, this is a
welcome piece, of equipment.

Firemen’s Auxiliary Christmas party
at the Fire Hall last evening.
Trucksville . Gardens, Mrs. Janice
Davis, of Luzerne, and Mrs. Ruth
Brown, Dallas, visited Mrs, Hawk’s
brother-in-law and sister; Mr. and
Mrs. David Horlacker in Drums on
Sunday. :
Ruth’ Bennett, a student nurse
at Danville Medical Center, visited
her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon
Bennett on Orchard Street the past
weekend. ,
Mrs. Albert Williams, Jr., Lehigh
Street, was admitted to Nesbitt
Hospital last .week : for tests and
treatment.
Mrs. Franklin Hemmenway, Post
Road, is spending the week with
her sonin-law and daughter, Mr.
and Mrs. Robert Wiliamson and
family in York. :
Mrs. Robert Bullock and infant
son have returned to their home
on Maple Street from Nesbitt Hos-
pital. in
Trustees Meet With Stookey
Trustees of Trucksville Methodist
Church met at the home of Nor-
man Stookey on Holly Street Wed-
nesday night. Louis Wilcox pre-
sided at the business meeting. Mem-
Jones, Clifford - Johnson, Louis Wil-
cox, and Kenneth Woolbert.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Horlax of
Carverton Road, will leave Monday
December 17, for Miami, Fla,
where they will spend the holidays
with their son-in-law and daughter,
Dr. and Mrs. Arnold Nafus and
family.

William Ashton, Kingston, son of
Mrs. Harry Ashton, shot an eight-
point buck near the Ceasetown Dam
Monday. Mrs. Ashton attended a
birthday party in honor of her
grandson, James Ashton, son of Mr.
and Mrs. William Ashton, Kings-
ton, who celebrated his first birth-
day on Sunday.
Robert Winiecki, Chase Manor,
Great Lakes seaman, is expected
home on [Sunday or Monday. His
boat, one of the last to tieup be-
fore Old Man Winter closes the
lakes is due to make port at Duluth
today.
Tom Gimble returned home from
a deer hunting trip in Allegheny
County Sunday. His homeward trip
was delayed by the great snowstorm
which closed the Superhighway out
of Pittsburgh.
The sympathy of the community
is extended to the Rev. Robert T.
Webster, former pastor of the
Trucksville Methodist and Dorrance-
ton Methodist Church of Kingston
and the present pastor of the Clarks
Summit Methodist Church, on the
death of his mother, Mrs. Tracy
T. Webster, Saturday morning at
the parsonage in Clarks Summit
after a lengthy illness. Friends of
Mrs. Webster and Rev. Webster paid
their respects on Sunday at the
Harold Snowdon Funeral Home in
Kingston and at the Young Funeral
Home at Clarks Summit on Mon-
day. Mrs. Webster was buried from
the Clark Summit Methodist Church
on Tuesday afternoon with the Rev.
Dr. Earl V. Tolley, superintendent
of the Scranton District of the Wyo-
ming Conference and the Rev. Dr.
Lynn F. Bouton, Superintedent of
the Wilkes-Barre District, presiding.
Fellow clergyment acted as pall-
bearers and interment was in the
Newton Cemetery.
The community welcomes Mr. and
Mrs. William C. Burk who have
purchased and moved into ‘the form-
er home of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Lash-
ford on Chase Road.

The young soldier arrived in this
country from Korea on November
14, having spent a fourteen month
tour of duty in the vicinity of the
38th parallel.
Mr. and Mrs. Eckerd will leave
shortly before Christmas for his new
assignment at Fort Huachucha,
Arizona.
