Bayonne, N. J., visited his mother,
Mrs. Russell Casterline Sr., over
the weekend.
Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Miner recent-
ly spent a week with Mr. and Mrs.
Laverne Gary at South River, N. J.,
and while there, attended the wed-
ding of Miss Yvonne Gary and
Robert Waters.
Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Derby and
family of Shickshinny spent Sun-
day at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Richard Keiper and family.
Harold - Leibenguth and Kathy
Dendler drove Mrs. Harry Miller
to Harrisburg on Saturday, where
she will spend several weeks with
Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Cheadle and
family.
Mrs. Mabel Wandell, Forty Fort,
spent Sunday with her son, Walter
Wandell and family, Stull.
Mrs. Ora Bean is spending some
time wtih her granddaughter, Mrs.
Merwin Kaminstein and family, at
Flushing, N. Y.
Mrs. George Pellitieri and” daugh-
ter Vivienne, Trenton, N. J. are
guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Harry Bigelow.
Visitors at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Lawrence Race on Sunday
were Mrs. Nelson Cargill, Bingham-
ton,” Mr. and Mrs. Charles Van-
Campen, and Timmy, Endicott, N.Y.
Mr. and Mrs. Paul Meyers, Sandy
and Tommy, Hinsdale, Mass., visited
the Fred Schencks, on Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. William: Inman,
Kingston, visited the Loren Cases
on Saturday and Mr. and Mrs. Alva
Case, Sweet Valley called on Tues-
day. The Cases received word that
their grandson Dale Case, Buffalo
received a fractured jaw during a
football game. He 'is a patient in
the hospital at Buffalo.
" Wheeler Hess Sr. entered general
hospital on Monday and underwent
major surgery on Thursday. morn-
ing.
Mr. and Mrs. Percy Patton, Bris-
tol, spent the weekend at the home
of Mr. and Mrs. Dave MacMillan.’
Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Turner,
Tampa, Fla, have spent ten days
among relatives in this area. They
called on Mr. and Mrs. Jeddie Mac-

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Dodson, De-
munds Road, have returned home
after spending a week visiting the
latter's sister, Mrs. Ethel Knight, in
Baltimore, Maryland.
Mrs. Ira Button, 162 E. Qvaiigok
Avenue, attended the wedding of
her granddaughter, Janice Stewart
and Lee Lawhead in Nazareth on
November 24. Mrs. Lawhead is the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Truman
Stewart of East Stroudsburg. Mr.
Stewart is a one time employee of
the Dallas Post.
Ralph Yeust, Main Road, was one
of the lucky nimrods on the first
day of deer season. He shot a spike
buck at 7:45 a.m. at Red Rock.
Sincere sympathy is extended Mrs.
William Henniger, Harris ‘Street, on
the death of her brother, “Mitch”
Leonard of Wilkes-Barre. He was
laid to rest on Tuesday.
Debbie Gosart, 6, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. John Gosart, 113 E. Over-
brook Avenue, returned home from
Nesbitt Hospital on Sunday where
she was taken on Tuesday evening.
She was struck by a school bus as
she darted across the street in front
of ‘the Shavertown Grade School
where she is a first grader. Debbie
walks to school but had walked her
| girl friend home before starting
| home herself. At the time of the

Tiny's ‘Stutz Wins
Florida Car Event
Milford “Tiny” Gould, Outlet, Har-
veys Lake, took top honors at a
Florida antique car show with his
well-known = fully restored 1928
Stutz roadster.
The car was entered in the Best
Restored Car, 1920-1929 class, of
the fifth annual Antique Car Show,
Ormond Beach.
The event was held in celebration
of auto racing’s 60th anniversary.
Tiny's Stutz has been a consistent
winner in eastern antique car events
for some time.

Blaska Combat Test
Participating recently with other
members of the 80th Transporta-
tion Company in the annual com-
bat readiness test at Fort Richard-
son, Alaska, was Army Chief War-
rant Officer Dennis J. Ferry, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Frank J. Ferry, 294
Huntsville Road, Dallas.
During the test, which was held
in conjunction with the 1st Battle
Group, 23d Infantry’s readiness
test, the unit supported ground
operations by flying resupply, troop
movement and medical evacuation
missions.
Throughout the exercise, Army
aviation personnel were graded on
their ability to perform combat
missions and air transportation in
a combat zone.

The 32-year-old officer is a 1948
graduate of "Mexico (N. Y.)
Academy.
His wife, Irmgard; is with him
at the fort.
