Flora Sue Anderson, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Anderson,
Shavertown, was admitted to Nes-
bitt Hospital Thursday. Sue, who
was a sophomore at Pennsylvania
State [University was ill at her
home two weeks ago but returned
to school after a few days in-an ef-
fort to complete her first semester.
This she was unable to do and is
now under, .observation by her
family physician. ;
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Calkins and
children, Laurie, Lisa, John and
Karen of Brown Manor, Carverton,
have moved to Falmouth, Maine.
Mr. Calkins, with the Suburban Gas
pfompany, has received a nice pro-
motion. }
Mr. and Mrs. David Perry, Jr.,
Carverton spent the weekend in
yttsburgh as the guests of Mr. and
Irs. Richard Roberts.

Willard Smith, will be married
December 29 to Robert Endres,
West Pittston. Miss Smith is a
graduate of Nesbitt Hospital and is
a member of the staff at that insti=
tution.
Her fiance is a metallurgical

“lying Visit To Dallas
The Frank Ferrys have had as
guests for ten days the newlyweds,
Mr. and Mrs. John Ferry. John, in
his next to last year of medical
school at® Creighton University,
Omaha, is a night interne at Mercy
Hospital in Council Bluffs, across
the river from Omaha. Mrs. John,
the former Patricia Mundlin of
Omaha, is secretary to an opth-
almologist in Omaha. Both young
folks had to get back to their jobs
before Thanksgiving after their
flying visit to Dallas.
Scott Douglas Ohlman
It’s a fourth grandson for Mrs.
Harry Ohlman. Mr. and Mrs. Lee
Ohlman, Collingswood, N. J. an-
nounce the birth of an eight-pound
son November 16. Scott Douglas
is the ecouple’s first child. Mrs.
Ohlman is the former Karen Hor-
‘'lacher of Haddon Heights, N. J.
Mrs. Harry Ohlman will go to Col-
lingswood next week.

Mr. and Mrs. Leon Whitesell,
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, former.
local residents, announce the birth
of their first child, Lisa Carol, No-
vember 15, at Oklahoma City Gen-
eral Hospital. The new arrival
weighed eight pounds, four ounces
at birth. The mother is the former
Lavonna Anderson, Midwest City,
Oklahoma. Mr. Whitesell is .son
and Mrs. Fred Whitesell,
Sweet, Valley. = Mr. Whitesell has
his own studio, teaching the pro-
gressive series in piang and is or-
ganist at the first Baptist Church,
Oklahoma City.

Hummell, daughter of Mrs. Ger-
trude May, R.D. # 4 Dallas and the
late Hervy May, and Eugene Fran-
cis Caputo son of Mrs. Theresa Ca-

the late Joseph Caputo will take
place December 1 at 2:30 P.M., Ide-
town Methodist Church. Rev. Nor-
man Tiffany will perform the cere-

Celebrate Anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Borofski,
Lake Silkworth, will observe their
first wedding anniversary Friday.
Mrs. Borofski, is the former Pa-
tricia Mack, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. John McNelis, Nanticoke. A
graduate of Mercy Hospital School
of Nursing, she was employed at
Nanticoke State Hospital. Mr. Bo-
rcfski is English instructor at Turn-
pike High School, Mildred. Their
wedding took place at St. Francis’
Roman Catholic Church, Nanticoke
with Father John Bell officiating.

new experjence for the lad from the

Mr. and Mrs. Howard Price, 3
North Lehigh Street, Shavertown,
announce the birth of an eight
pound, one ounce baby boy, William
Rudolph, at Nesbitt Hospital on
Saturday, November 17. This is
their first child.
Mrs. Price is the former Margit
Faehndrich, Erlangen, Bavaria, Ger-
many. She met Howard while he
was in the service. They came to
the states about three months ago.
Howard is son of the late Mr. and
Mrs. William Price of Dallas.
Young Billie is named for his
two grandfathers.
Dennis J. Ferry
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ferry are
grandparents again. Dennis John
Ferry is the newest arrival, making
for the Dennis Ferrys in Anchorage,
Alaska, three little Dboys. Frank
was horn here in Dallag; John in
Texas, and now Dennis in the
largest State in the Union (Texas is
next largest since Alaska was ad-
mitted to full statehood.)

Lake, is a patient at Geisinger
Medical Center where he is under-
going a- check-up.
Family reports that Mr. Yatsko,
an excavating contractor, was suf-
fering occasional dizzy spells for
some time.

Mrs. Robert Mathers, Hickory
Street, was hostess last Wednesday
evening to her card club. Attend-
ing were: Mesdames Harry Owens,
Richard Mathers, Ogden Palmer,
William Lohman, Harold Croom,
Sheldon Hoover, John Roushey, Sr.,
Earl Gregory, Jr., and the hostess.
