are the proud parents of a six
pound, thirteen ounce baby girl
born Saturday afternoon at General
Hospital. Mrs. Brace is the former
Janice Houser, daughter of Mrs.
Ruth Houser, Shavertown. Mr.
Brace is the son of Mrs. Bert Brace,
Their two other children,
Ruth and Bert are staying with
Grandma Houser and Aunt Dorothy
Johnson, Trucksville while their
mother is in the hospital.-
Mrs. Bessie Brace, proprietor of
Brace’s Coffee Shop in Shavertown
is a surgical patient in General
Hospital.
The many friends of Mrs. Luther
Powell, Oak Hill wish her a speedy
recovery at General Hospital where
‘she is in traction. ‘Peg” as she is
affectionately known lived in Shav-
ertown for a number of years.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Brenkworth,
Silver Springs, Maryland visited the
latter’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Levi
Updyke, S. Pioneer Avenue, Trucks-
‘ville over thé weekend. Mr. Brenk-
worth is the Chief Dispursement
Officer of the U. S. Government.
~~ Mrs. Boyd Dodson will have her
daughters with her for Thanksgiv-
ing, J. Carol Dodson from Indiana
State College, and Nancy Jane Dod-
son from Muhlenberg.
