It was reported that the Dallas, Shavertown and Trucksville Girl Scout troops made 1,000 lollipops for Back Mountain Library Auction. Leaders are asked to pick two Juliette Lowe representatives in their troop and to send the names | of these girls to Girl Scout office. The theme again this year is “Dimes [for Daisy.” ] Leaders are also reminded that badge orders should be sent to the office before the 1st and 15th of each month. All troop registration forms and financial reports must be | signed by the Neighborhood chair- man before being sent to the office. | Girl Scout Thinking Day is Feb- | ruary 22nd and all Scouts are asked to remember to send cards to other | Scouts or Scout troops. There is a desperate need for Mountain area. To date there are | 59 girls who are already Senior | Scouts or anxious to become Senior Scouts. Troop 92 with Mrs.- Nell Scouton as. leader; and Mrs Richard ‘Smith as co-leader, and Troop 163 with Mrs. John Jones as leader. It would be appreciated if leaders would send a report on their troop’s activities to Mrs. Makar about once a month. Tuesday morning, November 1, there will be a District Neighbor- hood Training Service at Dallas Methodist Church at 10. At this time Neighborhood Service teams from Dallas, Shavertown and Trucks- ville will meet for service training. The next Neighborhood meeting will be held November 14 at 10 a. m. at Dallas Methodist Church. She returned yesterday to Dr. C.G. Perkins for further examination. The explosion occurred when Mrs. Coslett attempted to light her oven Sunday morning to bake a ham. A gas pocket caught just as she lit the match. Chief Coslett’s daughter had her father called by two-way radio while he was at church, and he took his wife to Dr. Perkins immediately. She was treated for first and second de- gree burns to her upper body, neck, face, and hair.
