oe a» DALLAS, PENNSYLVANIA Crispell Family Holds ~ Forty-Ninth Reunion The forty-ninth Annual Reunion of the Crispell family was held August 12th at Alva Dymond Park, in Noxen. The meeting! was preceded by a short program which included a poem read by Mrs. Amelia Ander- son, and accordian selections by Joyce and Marlene Matthews. Group singing was led by Mrs. Anderson, who also sang the hymn, “We'll never say good-by in Heaven.” The meeting was opened by the President, Earl Crispell and the group singing “Bless Be the Ties.” Minutes of the last meeting was read by Mrs. Grover Anderson, act- ing secretary in the absence of Mrs. Minnie Sidorek, secretary. It was oN to hold the reunion at the safe place on the second Saturday in August next year, Mrs. Russell Ide entertained the idea we try a smorgasbord dinner another year, each family bring one large dish and their own place settings and all eat at one table, the idea was discussed and finally approved. A very tasty dinner was served at noon from covered dishes and while eating reacquaintance with a lot old timers, and also quite a number of new ones was made. ! The business meeting was called to order at 3:15. 3 Reading of the second Chapter of St. John, was by the Chairman, D.V. Kitchen, followed by ‘the Lord's Prayer in unison. (After a short discussion, of a. gen- eral nature, and a location place for next year, a motion was made by John ‘Montross, and seconded by Thomas Cease, that we retain the same officers for ano ther year. Warren Montross, was elected His- torian, for 1963. It was decided by vote that we hold the reunion at Rummage’s Park, next year, this park is located on the road from Humlocks Creek to Mulenburg. Numerous games were played un- der the direction of Mrs. Warren Montross, for the young folks, with prizes to the winners. This was a very lively and colorful part of the reunion, thanks to the Montrosses they deserve a great big hand. The first Sunday in August 1963 was retained for next year’s reunion.
