Those who at- tended Thursday night were Marion Yourig, Mrs. Rischel, Mrs. - Betty Schweitser, Mrs. Edward Miles, i+ Catherine Gilbert and her father, © and Pastor William Reid. One of the nicest things happened last Friday. A car from Emmanuel’s sor drew slowly to a stop in front of our house. A stocky young man got “rout — and I didn’t have to wait long to know who he was, — Billy Emmanuel whom I hadn't seen since I left the Orange church pastorate. e had hung between life and death . a month following an accident in Orange. and the prayers of the whole valley were taking his case to God. Then he recovered. His folks moved down near Philadelphia and we moved to Maine N., Y. I was glad to see how he had de- veloped in many ways. Especially pleased I was to know his plans are to get a piano for his boys Ken and Gary to learn ‘to play. Also he plans to have them take voice lessons so they can sing. I am glad to see a father who wants his sons to take up mugic. More boys ought to study music. The world needs them. We had a good long visit on our front porch trying to make up for lost time. It was a nice thing to have happen, his dropping in for a visit. He's helping brother Leon move. Bye, Leon and Jean! Then another nice thing hap- pened. Through Dorothy's visit to a friend in Nesbitt Hospital it came about that I got to see Ralph Bush, a classmate of mine in Wyoming Seminary, one of my favorite people. 2 ER THE DALLAS POST, THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 6, 1962 Avert Rees Made Director Lake Women's Service Club To Hear Talk On Fire Arms SAFETY OF FIRE ARMS will be the subject of a talk given by a member of the Pennsylvania Game Commission, Stephen Kish, Conser= vation Information Assistant, at the opening meeting of Harveys Lake I had not seen him for many years until] Friday night when I drove down to Nesbitt to meet him.
