FACULTY CHANGES FOR DALLAS AREA JOINT SCHOOLS
Pive teachers have resigned from the Dallas Schools system,
and fourteen names have been added to the faculty list of
teachers having permanent status.
These former faculty members have resigned: Phillip
Richards, Verna Butts, Theresa Shiner, Howard Shiner, and
Ethel Shultz.
On permanent status are: Mrs. Sarah Welker, Patricia Whit-
taker, Mrs. Nancy May Jones Sloan, Robert M. Hukill,
Mrs. Janet Smith, Mrs. Nancy Lynne Hontz, Florence I.
Guido, Miriam Vas Korlis, Mrs. Virginia Rubino, John Sul-
koski,
Robert Marr, Mrs. Mary A. Emmanuel Sigworth,
Mary Patricia Fox, Mrs. Marcy H. Kershner.
MRS. NANCY MAY JONES
SLOAN
Mrs. Nancy Sloan, 18 Meadow-
crest, Trucksville, graduated in
June, 1962, from Cedar Crest Col-
lege, Allentown. She is certificated
to teach all elementary subjects.
Mrs. Sloan served as sales man-
ager on the college yearbook and
was photography and art editor of
the newspaper. She was a member
of the Women’s Athletic Association
and served as co-author of a
. column on college activities for the
Ocean City Sentinel Ledger.

Miss Patricia Whittaker, 258
Church Street, Dallas, graduated in
May, 1962, from Bloomsburg
State College. She is certificated to

Mr. Robert M. Hukill, 804 East
Maple Street, Palmyra, is a grad-
uate of Pierce S. DuPont High
School, Wilmington, Delaware,
and Millersville State College. He

Temple University. Mr. Hukill is
certificated in English and social
studies and will be assigned to
Dallas Senior High School.
Mr. Hukill served as secretary
of the Y.M.C.A.,, Lancaster, for
four years, and has been active in
the learn-to-swim program in Pal-
myra where he has been employed
as a teacher of English in the High
School.
MRS. MARCY H. KERSHNER
Mrs. Marcy H. Kershner, 105
Meadowcrest, a 1960 graduate of
Wittenberg University, Springfield,
Ohio, with a major in Home Eco-
nomics and a minor in general
science, will serve as a full-time
substitute in Dallas Senior High
School.
Mrs. Kershner was ehbloved as
girls’ and women’s program di-
rector at Main Line Y.M.C.A. in
Ardmore, from September, 1960
to January, 1962. Since the latter
date, she has been teaching a fourth
grade in the Bridgewater-Raritan,
New Jersey, School System.

Mr. John Sulcoski, 286 Colley
Street, Wilkes-Barre, was grad-
uated from Hanover Township
High School. He received the Bach-
elor of Arts degree from Kings Col-
lege. He was awarded the Master

dation grant to study radio-
chemistry at Philadelphia College
of Pharmacy and Science.
For the past six years, he has
taught chemistry and physics in
Phillipsburg High School, Phillips-
burg, N. J.

Charles Street, Luzerne, a graduate
of Luzerne High School and
Wilkes- Barre General Hospital,
will serve as nurse in Gate of
Heaven School.
She has had experience in these
