granddaughter, Barbara Metzger
and Sandra, Demunds Road, have
returned from a two week vacation
on Long Island,where they visited
Mr. and Mrs. Howard Lamoreaux
and family, Mr. and Mrs. Teddy
Force and family and the Carpenter
family. !
Mrs. Ross DeWolfe, Nancy. former |
residents of Carverton Road, Wyo-
ming R. D. 3, have returned to their
home in Raleigh, N. C. Mrs. De-
Wolfe's parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.
J. Marlot accompanied them and
will take up permanent residence
with them in Raleigh.
Mr. and Mrs. Monroe Houtz and
daughter, Martha, Grandview Ave-
nue, New Goss Manor, spent several
days recently at Chalfonte-Haddon
Hall. |
Mrs. Lee Updyke, Pioneer Avenue,
has returned after spending six
weeks with her daughter, Mrs.
Dorothy Banta and Dianne, Bladens-
burg. While there she attended the
capping excercises at Sibley Mem-
orial Hospital, Washington, D. C.
where Dianne is training to be a
nurse.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Fox have
returned to their home in Fair
banck Buro, Burbank, Calif, after
spending a week with their daugh-
ther and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs.
Donald Weidner, Lehman Avenue,
Dallas.
Fifty-first reunion of the James
and Oliver Evans family will be
held Sunday, August 12 at Stone
House Park, Nicholson.
Dr. and Mrs. Richard C. Post and
Mr. and Mrs. Elwood Whitesell,
have returned to their homes after
spending a week at Bass River,
Cape Cod. :
Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Brown, Leh-
man, entertained at dinner last
Sunday in honor of the former's
mother, Mrs. Faye Brown, who ob-
served her birthday July 29. Attend- |
ing were Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Ran-
dall, Vestal, N. Y.; Mr .and Mrs.
Gordon James, Meeker, Mrs. Ella
Harvey, Dallas, Emory DeLong, the
Brown children, Fred, Faye, Glenna
Gay and Susan. Glenna Gay re-
turned with Mr. and Mrs. Randall
for a two week stay.
Mr. and Mrs Arthur Mauer
Trucksville, had as guest last week,
the latter's niece, Jarett Deletkanic,
Berwick. /
Mrs. Henry Kann, Dallas, flew by
Jet to San Carlos, California, where
she will be the guest of her son-in
law and daughter Mr. and Mrs.
David Williams for a month. Mrs.
Williams is the former Louise Kann.
Kathy Martin daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Jack Martin, Stafford St.
and Kathy Cashman, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. William Cashman,
Davis Street, spent last week as the
guests of Kathy Cashman’s grand-
mother, in Berwick.
Mrs. Letha Spaulding had as Fri-
day dinner guests, Mrs. Lillian
Hildebrant, Dallas and Bess Kline-
toh, Sweet Valley.
Mrs. John Butler, Shavertown, is
a surgical patient at Nesbitt Hos-
pital, where she will remain for oe
other week.
Patty Diane Daley, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Daley, Goss
Manor, has returned from spending
a week at Little Flower Camp in
Tobyhanna. Her friend Karen Mar- | t
asico, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. |
Bruno Marasico, Birch Lane, is re-
maining for a second week.
Mr, and Mrs. Edward Hopa and
Tom, Huntsville, Betty Jean Davis,
Trucksville, and Ronald Grant,
Elizabeth Street, have returned
after spending some time in West-
port, Canada, while there, Betty
Jean was guest soloist, at the Pres-
byterian Church, in Westport.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Davis,
Davenport Street, motered to Phil-
adelphia, Tuesday to visit their
daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and
Mrs. Howard Tinsley. Their grand-
son Bobby Tinsley, will return with
them for a two-week visit.
Kenneth Brobst, a lifelong resi-
dent of Dallas until two years ago
when he and his family moved to
Bloomsburg, is a medical patient at
Bloomsburg State Hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Hinnant and
four daughters, Greenville, North
Carolina, are spending ten days
with Mr. Hinnant’s parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Don LaBar, of Dallas.
Mr. and Mrs. Theodore MacHenry,
Orange, attended the wedding of
their granddaughter Nancy Brown,
August 4th, in Cortland, N. Y.
Mr. and Mrs. Leo Huntsinger, Ro-
chester, N. Y., and Mr. and Mrs.
Wilson Huntsinger, of Wyoming are
visiting Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Mac-

Intlekofer of Baltimore, Md.
Miss Giffin is a graduate of Wyo-
ming Seminary and Goucher Col-
lege. She plans to teach English at
Senior High School, Bergenfield,
N. J. this fall.
Mr. Intlekofer was graduated
from Calvert Hall College School
and served with the U.S. Afr Force |
for three years. He is presently at-
tending Baltimore University.
