Several days ago while hanging up her wash, Mrs. Sherwood reached into her clothes pin bag hanging on the clothes line outside a kitchen door and found that ‘Jenny Wren’ had built a mest and laid five eggs. Three wrens have hatched and the mother sits unafraid in the nest while Mrs. Sherwood hangs out her clothes. The Sherwoods’ are trying to figure out how ‘mother wren’ is going. to get her little ones out of the bag to teach them to fly. Congratulations to Mrs. Mary Pudimott who celebrated her birth- day July 25. Her son William will celebrate his 21st, birthday August 2, and her daughter, Beverly Ann will be 10 years old August 12. They left for Los Angeles, Calif. to meet her husband who has been there since March. They intend to make their future home in California. They are formerly of Abington.
