Mrs. Anna McCarroll, 66, resident
of the area for the past 36 years,
died at her home in Lehman Satur-
day night after a long illness. She

Susan Soah Chesock. She attended
public schools in Lopez.
Surviving are: her husband Mar-
bel; children, Mrs. Geraldine Ed-
wards and William, Lehman; broth-

Michael, Dushore; John, Lopez; two
grandchildren.

Minister 34 Years
Russell P. Griffiths, lower Main
Road, Dallas, died Friday night at
South Lansing, N. Y. where he was
attending courses in advanced min-
istry. He had been a minister of
Jehovah's Witnesses for 34 years,
serving the Wilkes-Barre congrega-
tion for 18 as presiding minister,
Burial was at Oak Lawn, following
services conducted Tuesday morn-

YMCA Day Camp registration is ex-
tended to June 15, This action was
taken because a recreation program
conductd by Dallas School District
in 1961 will not be continued this
summer.
Therefore, registration has been
extended to enable parents to take
advantage of the opportunity to send
their boys and girls to the Camp,
conducted three days a week, from
boys and girls through age’ fourteen.

Dies Efter Illness
Major Joseph Brown, 68, resident
of the Roushey Plot for many years,
died Sunday morning at the home
of his daughter, Mrs. Lillian Fuller, |
also of the Roushey Plot. Burial |
services were held on Wednesday. |
A native of Kentucky, Mr. Brown
lived in this area for the past 'fifty
years. He was a painter-carpenter
contractor, retiring several years
ago because of ill health. He was
a patient at General Hospital for
a short time, returning
daughter's home a week before his
death. I
Surviving in addition to his
daughter are two sons, Evan R. and
John, Bethlehem; another daughter,
Mrs. Thomas Schmidle, Dallas RD 3;

Commerce, and was a member of
