Janice Rinken Graduates
| From Mercy, In Scranton
Janice Esther Rinken, Idetown,
graduated Saturday morning from
Mercy Hospital Training School in
Scranton, one of forty in her class
who received diplomas from Rt.
Rev. Jerome Hannon, Bishop of the
Diocese of Scranton, in exercises at
3t. Patrick’s Cathedral, where
Bishop Hannan was celebrant of a
Solemn High Mass.
Miss Rinken, daughter bf Mrs.
Vivian Rinken and the late Alexan-
der Rinken who died in October of
1960, attended Lehman schools for
‘twelve years, graduating in 1959.
She entered training
that same year. Supervisor of Nurses
for the past year, enormously popu-
lar with the student nurses is Sis-
ter Marie de Lessis RSM, daughter
of Dr. and Mrs. William J. Kennedy
of Dallas.

in the band for several years; sang
in the chorus; was on the newspaper
staff; and belonged to several clubs.
While ‘taking her training, she
was a student for eight months at
Marywood College near Scranton.
