at the regular meeting of the Dallas
School District held May 8, 1962,
a resolution was adopted to approve
a tentative budget for the school
year 1962-1963, which sets forth
therein expenditures in the total
amount of $1,139,750.00, based on
a tax levy of 78 mills per dollar
($7.80) per hundred dollars of as-
sessed valuation on real estate; a
per capita tax of $5.00 per person,
under authority of Section 679 of
the School Code of 1949 and its
amendments, and a per capita tax
of $7.00 per person, under authority
of Act 481 of June 25, 1947 (P.L.
1145) and its amendments, making
a total of per capita taxes of $12.00
to be levied and collected from each
person, an increase of $2.00 per per-
son. Said tax is necessary for gen-
eral revenue purposes to pay the
salaries of the employes as pre-
scribed in the salary schedules of the
District and to meet the current
expenses of the Dallas School Dis-
trict. Additional revenue to be
derived is- estimated at $12,000.00.

by any interested person or per-
sons at the Office of the Secretary
