Mt. Zion Holy Week this year was marked by the meetings I didn’t attend, the things I didn’t do. Throat trouble and a general feeling of not want- ing to do much but sleep! I did [get to help Wesley Crompton with the Holy Thursday Communion at Derr Memorial. Voice was like a growly bear, but I had only one coughing spell—just as the choir began its lovely anthem. It kept on singing! I postponed my usual Thursday calls at Valley Crest until Friday. Dorothy got home from Baltimore a little before noon on Friday. She wrote us that she had a nice sur- prise on Palm Sunday seeing Mar- jorie and Hal Seiple down in Bal- timore. Dorothy got to attend church and choir rehearsal Friday night here and sang in the choir at our sun- rise service and also the 11 o'clock. A lot of things to get done, get to- gether, pack to take and pack to leave behind by August 1 when she leaves U. S. .A. Sunday was a bright Easter. The Public Address system apparently worked nicely for those who sat downstairs for the service. Several spoke to me congratulating me on my birthday. I don’t have a birth- day on Easter very often. It was good to have my family all together for the occasion. Dottie drove back to Baltimore late Sunday afternoon.
