Dallas resident, now of Lakeland,
Fla., is spending some time with Mr.
and Mrs. Harold Titman, East Dallas.
* Walter Brunges, Claude Street,
taken to Nesbitt Hospital Thursday
night in Dallas Community Ambu-
lance, suffering from a heart attack, |
is on the critical list. He is a line-
man for Commonwealth Telephone
Company.
Mrs. Parento, 84, of Parrish
Street, mother of a Dallas Borough
employee, Nick Parento, was ad-
mitted to Nesbitt Hospital last Wed-
nesday by ambulance, following a
heart attack.
illiam (Bill) DiBuo, manager of
pol Fort Ice Cream Company, has
lost his mother. Mrs. Frank C. Di-
Buo, Luzerne, died Monday night
after a long illness.
Mrs. Joseph Schmerer, former
resident of Dallas, is a patient at
Nesbitt Hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. John Lyons, Ma-
chell Avenue, have announced the
birth of a son at Nesbitt Hospital
on April 19. -
Mr. and Mrs. David Bloom, Hun-
lock Creek, have announced the
birth of a daughter at Nesbitt Hos-
pital on April 20.
Candy Poad, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs, Charles [Poad, spent Easter
with Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon Evans,
Shavertown. Mr. Poad is teacher
and coach at Lebanon Valley Col-
lege. The Evans drove Candy home
on Sunday.
Easter Monday guests of Mr. and
Mrs. Zel Garinger were Mr. .and
Mrs. Richard Powell and son, Larry,
Johnson City, N. Y.
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Williams
and daughter, Eleanor, have moved
from Market Street, Kingston to a
home they purchased at Midway
Manor, Trucksville.
Jgaise Hazeltine, teacher at Cor-
nei®™edical Center, New York City,
spent Easter with her parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Ralph ‘Hazeltine, Harris
Hill Road, Trucksville,
Mrs. Earl Monk, Pincrest Avenue,
had as weekend guest Mrs. Sarah
McCracken of Philadelphia.
Ww and Mrs. Samuel Shonk, Dal-
las R.D. 3, have announced the
birth of a baby girl at General Hos-
pital on April 18.
Mr. and Mrs. Harris Haycox have
returned to their home in Florida
after spending some time in Dallas.’
The Haycoxes are former Dallas
residents.

‘Trucksville, celebrated their twenty
fifth wedding anniversary on Sun-
day.

firmed at St. Paul's Lutheran
Church.

comb, son of Dr. and Mrs. Robert

party given by the Bodycombs at

urday, June 16.
Present at the dinner were Mrs.
Bessie Bodycomb, paternal grand-
mother of the bridegroom to be,
Mr. and Mrs. William Barr; Susan
and Marjorie Barr, Wilkes-Barre, |
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Bodycomb,
Shavertown, the bride eleet, Bob
and his parents.
Mr. and Mrs. Edward Roberts,
Pioneer Avenue, Shavertown, cele-
brated their fifty-sixth wedding an-
niversary quietly at their home on
Wednesday, April 25. Last year,
their fifty-fifth anniversary, they
enjoyed a family dinner.
Mrs. Roberts is the former Mina
Honeywell, daughter of the late Mr.
and Mrs. Butler Honeywell, farm-
ers who lived on the site of the
present Dallas Junior High
School. The family later purchased
and moved to a farm where the
Dallas Free Methodist Camp
Grounds are located. Mr. Roberts
is son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Law-
rence Roberts, prosperous Falls
farmers.
The couple was married at the
home of the bride, April 25, 1906,
and went to housekeeping in Wilkes-
Barre. They later moved to the
Roberts home at Falls, then to the
Mr. and Mrs. Edward Rolseris
Are Married Fifty-six Years
gave up farming and moved to the
house they now occupy, Mr. Rob-
ers working for the traction com-
pany, then for Sordoni Construc-
tion Company. He retired nine years
ago.
There were four children, three
boys, now deceased, and a daughter,
Mrs. Lester Creasy of Lewisburg;
also two grandchildren and four
great-grandchildren.
The Roberts are members of
Shavertown Methodist Church.
Sandra McCarroll
Mr. and Mrs, William McCarroll,
Lehman, announce the birth of an
eight pound baby girl, Sandra, at
Nesbitt Hospital on April 22. They
have another little girl, Jill, one
year old.
Mrs. McCarroll is the former
Nancy Burden of Wilkes Barre. Mr.
