COMMENT ON SPRING Here I go again! Many thoughts and comments have run through my mind since reading the last Post. Each week, to me it is better, and the extra supplement for Spring was very interesting. Being a lover of birds and animals I enjoyed the pictures and the articles on the birds and baby lambs, but best of all was the page of short poems. All familiar, all read many times before, but enjoyed, as if it were the first ti Hope to see another poetry page in next edition. Concerning Mr. Robbins article, definitely think the new oid) should be called the Frances Slo- cum State Park, Now from the big paper, I wish to say how proud the Lake-Lehman folks are of their big: High School Band. Being a Lake graduate, and having a daughter a Lake graduate I have always been interested in their activities, May their concert on Friday and Saturday night be a huge success. My congratulations also to Mrs. Mildred Garinger for the honor she received last week. She is a wonder- ful community leader and worker. , member of Wilkes Colleggy 4 I am perhaps partial, because she is . an aunt of mine, but everyone loves her. In answer to Rev. Gilberts ques- tion “Did I ever see a ‘“peeper” 24] sure did, as I have always Ii near a Swamp, but just to-night (Friday) I had one hopping around in the rain in my back yard. TE make sweet music to go to sleep By. Lastly, I wish to tell Mrs. E. S. Ide what a good poet she is getting to be. This is her second published poem in the Post. Emma and I are very good friends and former high school chums. I'm a scrap-book fiend, and I think it will take many extra pages to save all these inter- esting items from just one issue of the Post.
