Have You Eyeglasses?
Or Cancelled Stamps?
Dallas Methodist Church has two
special projects which have been
attracting interest and support for
some time from those not belong-
ing to the congregation as well
| as members of the church.
I
Mrs. Lula Schultz, 69, who died
Still needed are, old eyeglasses
and frames, spare lenses, or what-
ever turns up in the top bureau
drawer at house-cleaning time. Over
165 pairs of glasses have already
been collected and sent all over
the world. Mrs. Antoinette Mason,
second grade teacher at Dallas
Borough School, will receive them
at her apartment on Main Street,
Dallas, or they may be brought to
the church. Mrs. Mason hangs a
little basket outside her door, in
which glasses may be placed.
The other interesting collection is
cancelled stamps. These are sent to
a leper colony. The stamps help the
minister to camry on his work. Mrs.
John Kistler, 376 Midway Lane, is
in charge of collecting these. Or
stamps may be brought directly to
the church.
