M. Albert Hay Parrish, identified for many years with the growth of Dallas Borough, suffered a fatal heart attack early Thursday morning, dy- ing in the house where he and his |: wife started housekeeping = many years' ago. Mr. Parrish, 64, had [} not been ill. He may have overexert- | § ed while raking leaves in the yard || Wednesday afternoon. 4 Told by his daughter, Mrs. Ray Titus, that Key Club boys were coming the following day to groom the yard, he said he wanted to be out in the spring sunshine, and was enjoying gathering the debris of winter. He was buried Saturday after- noon in Wardan Cemetery, following services conducted from the home on Huntsville Road by Rev. William R. Heapps and Rev. Russell Lawry, past and present ministers of Dallas Methodist Church. Born in East Dallas, he was son of the late Elmer D. and Rose Hilde- brant Parrish, whose home on Main Street is now the Library Annex. The Parrish farm was cut up for building lots and real estate develop- ment, Albert cooperating with his father in the real estate business. By trade he was a carpenter, keep- fing the family holdings‘ in condi- tion. His wife Emily died in October of 1953, after a lingering illness, He was a member of Dallas Metho- dist Church. Surviving are two children: Arth- | ur G. Parrish, Noxen; and Mrs. Elizabeth Titus, instructor in phy- sical education, coach of athletic teams at College Misericordia. Arrangments by Disque.
