There are children under twelve years of age in New Goss Manor
and parents are concerned that some crank’s hatred for dogs may easily
lead to unexpected tragedy for some child.

of Mrs. Fred Case. Present: Mrs.
Wheeler Hess, Mrs. John Jones,
Mrs. W. S. Bender, Mrs.’ Loren
Case, Mrs. Richard Keiper, Doro-
thy Keiper, Mrs. Arthur Blizzard,
Christine Blizzard, and Pastor Wes-
ley.
Mrs. Fred Kromelbein is spend-
ing some time with Mr. and Mus.
Loren Case. She is on the sick list.
Mr. and Mrs. James Gillis and
son, Jimmy Pat, Williamsport, spent
Saturday in Noxen and Mr. and
Mrs. Elvin Bean returned home with
them for the week end.

Word has been received of the
death of an old and respected form-
er resident of Noxen, Stanley Al-
len, who was employed at the Arm-
our Leather Company.
Mr, and Mrs. Carlton Patton and
family, Newafk, Delaware, were
here to attend the funeral of Stan-
ley Allen.
Mr. and Mrs. Lesie Kocher, Will-
iamsport, came on Friday for their
son Jack, who spends the week
with Mr. and Mrs. William Me-
Kenna. He will finish out the term
in Noxen.
Mr. Mialek and daughter Gladys
and Paul Davis of Passaic, N. J.

are planning a sunshine basket for

Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Race have
returned to their own home, after
spending the winter at the home of
their son, Elmer and family. They
had as visitors on Saturday, Mr.
and Mrs. Charles Vancampen, End-
well, N: Y. Their son William re-
turned to Binghamton with them.

her brother Cecil Hale, who is a

Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Hackling
have returned after a several weeks
visit with their son, Robert and
his family at Pompano Beach, Fla.
Noxen Volunteer Fire Company
was called upon to extinguish a
grass fire in back of V.F.W. Hall
on Sunday noon. Last week, an
oil stove exploded in the home
of Watson Everett at 3 am. but
the blaze was soon extinguished.

mond is working at Vaudenburg

Mildred Lloyd is recovering nicely
from her recent surgery at Pittston
Hospital.

where she was taken following a
heart attack at her home.
