LONG DISTANCE CALLS
STATION-TO-STATION
%
Once upon a time, you had to have an
‘‘occasion’’ to call long distance...
but now it's a national habit to say
“hello” in person... anywhere. Amer-
icans enjoy the lowest long distance
phone rates in the world . . ."and it
costs .even less when you call station-
to-station after 6 p.m. or all day Sun-
day. In fact, you can make 3 calls for
the price of 2 . . . so plan to make
someone happy today with
a long distance call. You'll
feel wonderful too!

Dallas Hosts Race Car Driver
We were privileged to have as
our speaker in assembly last week,
| Robert Veith, internationally fam-
ous race car driver and one of the
top ten drivers in' the United
States, In 1956 he was elected
“Rookie of the Year”, a very fine
honor in race car circles.
“No matter where you are driv-
ing”, said Mr. Veith “whether on the
race track or out on the road,
safety and courtesy should pre-
vail.”
He showed color films of this
year’s Indianapolis 500, in which
he participated. We saw a five-car
pile up occur, but not one person
was hurt because they had tdken
all the necessary safety precautions.
Mr. Veith explained that these same
precautions should be taken by us.
We would like to thank Mr. Dol-
| bear, our Driver Training Instruc-
tor, for his very fine efforts in
having this program for our enjoy-
ment.
Apology
Sally and I would like to express
our ‘apologies to Elsbeth Gerrits
{ whose name was unintentionally
' omitted in an article in last week's
Post concerning ‘the girls who
acted as “Big Sisters” for our visit-
ing Tunkhannock young ladies.
