Mrs. Jessie Garinger has been ill
several days with the virus.
The W.S.C.S. meets tonight at
7:30 at the church. Mrs. Raymond
Garinger will give the last lesson
on Latin America. A short busi-
ness meeting /will follow, Mrs. Garv-
in Smith presiding, followed by a
social hour.

Sheldon Ehret has returned home
after submitting to surgery at Nes-
bitt Hospital.
Bryce Major is ‘a medical patient
at Nesbitt Hospital.
Susan Brown, 5 year old daught-
er of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Brown,
is recovering from measles.
Friendship Class of Lehman Meth-
odist Church met at the home of
Mrs. Lester Squier on Tuesday
evening.
Chester Lamoreaux has returned
to his home after spending some
weeks as a patient in the Veterans
Hospital, Wilkes-Barre.
Mrs, Alice Elston spent several
days recently in Summitt, N. J. with
her daughter and son-in-law, Mr.
and Mrs. Charles Cook.
Thomas Elston will return to his
home this week, after spending five
months in Tiwan, Formosa. Tom
visited Hong Kong, Manila, and Ha-
waii on his way home.

Chris Dawe has returned to school
after being sick for several days.
The Rug Club of Lehman which
has attracted many creative home-
makers, met this week at the home
of Mrs. William Sutton.

spent last weekend visiting in New
York City. They saw many places
of interest.
Mr. and Mrs. Edward Sidorek,
Harris St., entertained the latters’
father, Corey Crispell on his 76th
birthday, March 1st. The -center-
piece was the traditional birthday
cake. Those enjoying the dinner
were Mrs. Corey Crispell, Eddie,
Paul, and Leon Sidorek, the honored
guest and the hosts.

on Wednesday. Games were played
and refreshments served to Mrs.

On Sunday evening, the 40th
anniversary program of the Primi-
tive Methodist Mission in Guatemala
was held at 7 p.m. A film ‘“’Til Freed-
om Comes” was shown and a playlet
“Receiving vs. Giving” was given
with the following taking part: Mrs.
Evelyn Seward, Larry Seward, Tom-
my Shaver, Carol and Linda Ney-
hard, David Stuart, Jackie Snyder,
and Kathy Karuza.
Kathy Fluck sang ‘!Fishers of
Men” in Spanish and there were
a rumber of soveniers on display
from Guantemala.

Jr. and John Vaderveer, South
River, N. J. spent the weekend with
Uncle Valentine and aunt Josephine
Lubinski.
Lois Delkanic daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Michael Delkanic has been
appointed to teach fifth grade at
Ross elementary school. She will as-
sume duties in September. She will
graduate in June from Bloomsburg
State College, where she is on
Deans’ list.

COMPLETES 385 YEARS SERVICE
Lynn Ashworth, Huntsville Road,
completed 35 years of service with
the Pennsylvania Power and Light
Company last week. Mr. Ashworth
was an inspector and clerk at the
time of his retirement.

Miss Sandra Jones, of Monument
Avenue, Wyoming, was honored at
a bridal shower at the home of the
bridegroom’s parents, Mr. and Mrs,
Vern. Pritchard, Maple Street on
Saturday night.
Tables were decorated in red and
white. Shower girls were used as
place cards. Colored rice was given
as favors. Center piece was of fresh
flowers with a white net umbrella.

before returning to Peace Air Force
Base on Thursday.
