ley, has received word ‘that her
brother J. M. Powell, is on
the critical list in the hospital at
Detroit. Mr. Powell submitted to
surgery in December.
Mrs. Battis-
son has not seen her brother for
two years.
Mrs. Louise James, Center More-
land, left Monday morning by plane
for Nashville, Tenn., where she
will speak at a conference as rep-
resentative of Center Moreland Meth-
odist Church.
Mr. and Mrs. Francis Lewis, Leh-
man. had as weekend guests Mr. and
MW Harry Hoffman of Meadville.
Mr. and Mrs. William Walko,
Shaver Avenue, Shavertown, left
Sunday for Miami, Florida. Before
returning early in March, the Wal-
kos will spend a few days at Nas-

Ed McDade is back on the hill
delivering mail after an illness of
two weeks with the flu.
Pete Duda was confined to his
home on Davenport Street, Dallas,
with flu over the weekend. The
Dudas will celebrate their tenth
wedding anniversary over this week-
end.
Harry Post, Cliffside, Trucksville,
is out after an illness of several
weeks. }
Mr. and Mrs. Ben Shipman Jr.
and family, Buffalo, N. Y. spent the
weekend with Mrs. Shipman’s par-
ents, Mr. and Mrs. Stuart Marks,
Lehman, who celebrated their twen-
ty fifth wedding anniversary.
Evelyn Frantz, Brook Street, is
spending a week in Bethlehem vis-
iting Mr. and Mrs. Howard Frantz
and family.
Mr. Frank Garris, Main Highway,

Mrs. Hayden Richards has been
confined to her home on Lehman
Avenue with a virus for the past

Huntsville, celebrated their tenth

ruary 2. The couple has one son,

Carl Hedden was graduated last
week from Columbus University.

Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Crispell
Celebrate 49th
Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Crispell, Har-
veys Lake, celebrated their forty
ninth wedding anniversary at a
family dinner on January 21.
Mrs. Crispell is the former Ger-
trude Hoover, daughter of the late
Mr. and Mrs. Columbus Hoover of
Outlet. Mr. Crispell is son of the
late Mr. and Mrs. Chester Crispell,
also of Outlet. The couple was mar-
ried in Luzerne, January 21, 1913
by the Rev. W. J. Day and spent
their entire lives in the Harveys
Lake area. Mr. Crispell is now a re-
tired school bus driver. Mrs. Cris-

Tabernacle and the Free Methodist
Church.
There are three children: Willard
of Outlet, Arlene Swinehart, Kirk-
wood, Erma Nulton, Trucksville;

Guest On Birthday

Four Willard Smiths
At Keesler Air Base
Keesler Air Force Base had three
Willard Smiths, compliccated enough
a situation before a fourth showed
up for treatment at the .Hospital
from Cape Canavaral, Florida.
A /2C Willard G. Smith, stationed
at Keesler AFB, Mississippi, is son
of Mrs. Martha Smith, on the Lake-
Lehman Faculty. He was a Dallas
high school student before enlisting.
The four Willard Smiths made
headlines in the Keesler News.

Second Birthday Party
Daniel Manzoni, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Francis Manzoni, Follies Road,
celebrated his second birthday an-

James John Duris
Mr. and Mrs. John Duris, William

child. John 'is eighteen, Sandra
