The candlelight ceremony took
place on December 23, at 7 p.m.
in the Maple Grove Methodist
Church, Pikes Creek. Rev. James
M. Garrahan officiated. Mrs. Jean
Holcomb was organist and Ruth-
anne Macri was soloist.
The bride, given in marriage by
her father. wore floor-length gown
of Chantilly lace over taffeta 'des-
igned with a fitted bodice, a sab-
rina neckline and long sleeves tap-
ered at the wrists. Tiers of scal-
loped lace formed the bouffant
skirt which ended in a chapel train.
She wore a shoulder-length veil of
illusion attached to an orange blos-
- som headpiece and carried a white
Bible covered with white camel-
as.

Creek was matron of honor. She
wore romance blue ballerina gown
with satin bodice. brief sleeves,
scocp neckline, fashioned with three
matching satin cabbage roses shir:
ring the back of the aylon flared
skirt. Her circle hat was of white
velvet accented with holly leaves
"and nose veil. She carried a purse:
type snowball bouquet of white
mums with t'ny velvet bows match-
ing her dress. She also carried a
lighted candle.

for the needy was successfully cli-
maxed last week with the shipment
of sixty-three bags of shoes and
~lothes.
Prior to this shipment. students
from the Junior High School and
Key Club members sorted items
which were distributed locally dur-
‘ng the Christmas vacation.
Miss Esther Saxe. chairman of the
drive, wishes to thank local citi-
zens for their wonderful contribu-
tions of clothing again this year.
The thoughtfulness of local people
made this Christmas a joyous one

thanks have been received bv

families who appreciate what is be-
