served their forty second wedding
anniversary on New Year's Day.

spent the Christmas weekend with
the Clarence Dobersteins.
Russell Morgan Steele.
Pvt. and Mrs. Russell Steele an-
nounce the birth of a seven pound,
seven ounce baby boy, Russell Mor-
gan, at General Hospital on Jan-
uary 7. This is ther first child.
Pvt. Steele is stationed at Fort
Devens, Mass, Mrs. Steele is the
former Jo Ann Price, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Price, Lake
Silkworth, Pvt. Steele is son of Mr.
and Mrs. Russell Steele Sr. of
Mooretown.
Russell Morgan is the first grand-
son for the Steeles and the second
for the Prices. He suffered a
kidney infection and was taken for
a day to Philadelphia Children’s
Hospital. He is home and doing fine
now.
Vermanne Barrall
Mr. and Mrs, Chester R. Barrall
announce the birth of a daughter,
Veranne Grace, to their daughter
and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. James
Lord Shavertown, at Mercy Hospi-
tal, January 12. Veranne Grace
weighed 8 lbs. She is the Lords’
child and the fourth grandchild of
the Barralls making it two grand-
daughters and two grandsons for
them. Mrs. Lord is the former
Grace Barrall.,
Home From England
Airman 1C and Mrs. Paul C. Hes-
lop and daughter, Jeanine Louise,
arrived at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Frank OC. Heslop, School St.,
Shavertown, January 5 from Eng-
land. After a thirty day leave they
will go to EI Paso, Texas, where
Airman Heslop will serve.
Hobby Club Meets
With Marella Stanton
Hobby Club of East Dallas met
Wednesday evening at the home of
Marella Stanton, Roushey Street,
Fernbrook, and voted to retain the
same officers: president, Barbara
Lasher; secretary, Sally Wagner;
treasurer, Priscilla Coolbaugh. Next
meeting will be held at the home
of Sally Wagner, January 23, a cov-
ered dish supper.
Attending the meeting were lead-
er, Mrs. Mary Lasher, Barbara Lash- |
er, Carol Lasher, Priscilla Cool-
baugh, Florence Martin, Ruth Young,
Sally Wagner, Gladys Gabel and the

Dorothy E. Kintzer
Mr. and Mrs. Larry Kintzer of
Demunds Road announce the birth
of a daughter, Dorothy Elizabeth,
on December 29 in General Hos-
pital. She weighed nine pounds and
nine ounces and measured twenty-
one inches.
The Kintzers have two other
daughters, Beverly and Lauren.

Celebrates Anniversary
Eighteenth Anniversary of Dallas
Junior Woman’s Club was celeb-
rated at a smorgosboard dinner
held recently in the Prince of Peace
Church. Mrs. Merton Jones and
Mrs. William Hanna were hostesses.
Members brought covered dishes
and took an active part in the
program which was a demonstra-
tion of cake decorating by Anthony
Dicton of Dicton’s Bakery. Mrs.
Evan Bonowitz won the prize of
a large decorated cake.
Mrs. John Culp, Jr., presided.
Proposed changes in the by-laws
were given a first reading by Mrs.
James Besecker, Jr. Welfare Com-
mittee reported that sixty-five
Christmas Gifts were delivered to
Retreat Hospital. Membership Chair-
man Mrs, Stanley Hozempa, an-
nounced that any woman up to the
age of thirty-five is welcome to
join the club by contacting her or
any club member. The annual card
party and fashion show will be
held March 13, in St. Therese’s
Auditorium, Trucksville.

San Diego By Plane
Rev. and Mrs. Charles Frick left
Sunday afternoon for San Diego,

spend ten days with their son Jack
and his family. They parted com-
pany at the bus terminal, where

| phia, to catch a jet plane, and Rev.

where he is eligible to travel by
military plane.

' Cruises To Nassau
Mrs. Beatrice F. Schriener, Hill-
side Avenue, Harveys Lake, recently
| returned to Florida from a cruise
aboard the SS Bahama Star to
Nassau. The overnight trip was
made by ship from Miami, with
the ship docking at Bay Street
in -the tropical island.
Two days and a night were spent
| sightseeing, swimming and shopping
in Nassau.
Mrs. Schreiner is spending the
winter at Miami. She will return
here to spend the summer at her
Harveys Lake residence.
