Income Tax Returns
Be sure to list your social se=
curity numbers on your 1961 Fed-~
eral income tax returns. Both hus-
band and wife should list their
numbers on a joint return. :
This word of caution from R. P.
U.S. Internal Revenue Service,
Scranton District, who also reminds
taxpayers that April 16, is the dead-
line this year for filing their re
turns.
Some returns are being filed on
which one or both social security.
numbers are omitted, the IRS rep-
resentative said. Along with check~
ing other entries on the return,
taxpayers should double check to
make sure that social security num-
bers are complete and accurate.
When overpayment of social se=
curity taxes occurs, because of work-
ing at more than one job, space:
is provided on the return for a
credit of the overpayment to any
income tax owed, or to any re-
fund due.
