the James Davenports at Lehman.

the birth of a baby girl at General
Hospital on January 7.
Mrs. Carl Updyke and Arline
and Palmer returned to their home
in Lacy Park, Pa., over the week-
end. They have been here since
the death of Mr. Updyke. The Pal-
mer Updykes drove them home.

Augustana College, Rock Island, TIl.,
has returned to the Midwest campus
after spending the holidays with his
parents. Mr. and Mrs. Frederic
derson, Sr., Pioneer Avenue,

spent several days in Teaneck, N.J.
visiting at his former school, Luth-
eran. Bible Institute.
Mrs. , Burton Steltz is coming

pital, where she has been a med-
patient for a month.

Miami, where they will spend three

Given Going Away Bible
Sheldon James Frantz, son of
Mr.. and Mrs. Sheldon Frantz, De-
munds Road, was honored during
the morning worship service at
Shavertown Bible Church, when
Rev. Russel Edmondson presented
him with a Bible, a going away
gift, from the Pastor and Congre-
gation,
Sheldon enlisted in the Army in
September and left Tuesday with
two other local boys, Douglas Lam-
oreux and Thomas Lewis. The boys
attended grade school and high
school together and will receive
their training -at Fort Jackson, S.
