LEADING SCORES
FOR COLLEGE TEAMS
Two former Westmoreland court
standouts, Clark Mosier and Bud |
Cooper are continuing their torrid |
basketball playing for their respec-
tive college teams as both boys are
the top scorers on the team.
Clark Mosier, a member of the
1957-58 team has been the leading
scorer the past two seasons for
Susquehanna University and this
season looks as though he will re-
write all record books held by
Frank Romano since the early
1950's.
Mosier recently racked up indiv-
idual efforts of 47 and 44 points
against Ursiunus and Wilkes.
In the Wilkes contest Mosier beat |
N
Wilkes himself, racking up 44 mark-
ers as Susquehanna overwhelmed
Wilkes 82-39.
Bud Cooper, a member of the
1958-59 championship team that lost
to Kutztown in the eastern finals
at Hazelton is playing his first seas-
on of varsity ball for Scranton U
and is the leading scorer for the
Royals, Cooper is averaging close
to 20 points per game for the team.
Bud prepared at Hargrave before ent-
ering Scranton last year.
