MEEKER
‘W.S.C.S. Christmas party was held
at the home of Edna W. Rebennack,
Tuesday evening.
Devotions were led by Isther
Alles with the scripture lesson from
Luke 2, 1-20 followed by a story
“Lighting the Christmas Candles”
and hymns, “Silent Night” and “O
Little Town of Bethlehem.” Mae
King presented a program of ‘“‘Christ-
mas Cards from Other Lands.”
Those attending were: Marie Wolfe,
Edna Karschner, Addie Kyttle,
Glendoris Shilanski, Ruth Rogers,
Edna King, Carrie Wolfe, Esther Al-
les, Linda Rogowskl, Maeking, Lou-
ise King, Helen Rood, Dorothy
Steele, Dolores Garrahan, and Haz- |
el Winter.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Taylor and
son Ralph left Tuesday: to return
to Grand Prairie, Texas, stopping
along the way to visit Mrs. Taylor's
sister, Mrs. Mildred Barner and
daughter Susan at Lamar after
spending the week visiting friends
and relatives in this area.
Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Rogowski,
Pikes Creek, celebrated their 20th
wedding eElversary on Sunday.
Thoughts of Christmas have
been in the minds of all since
about the first of December,
but as it grows closer with the
hustle and bustle of shopping
and preparation, let us. not
lose sight of the real meaning
this day should have for us.
