recuperating at the home of her
son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and

On Sunday afternoon, there was
a meeting held to organize the Cub
Scouts. Bill Connolly of WBRE was

Rex Cope. Mrs. Pague is Mrs. Wes-
ley’s granddaughter. Mrs. Wesley
will observe her 90th birthday on
February 12.
Clark Lee Walters, Mt. Freedom, |
N. J., spent last weekend with his
grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Rus-
sell Walters. While here he was
able to do some hunting.
Mrs. Lottie K. Stortz, Lake Silk-
worth, had been ill at her home,
but was feeling somewhat improved
at the time of this writing.
Former residents, Mr. and Mrs.
Donald Walters, their children,
Clark and Donna, entertained the
following at Thanksgiving dinner at
their home in Mt. Freedom, N. J.:

suffered burns of the arm when
she fell against a coal stove in the
kitchen of her home.
Mrs. Julia Honeywell has re-
turned to her home after being a
patient at Nesbitt Memorial Hos-
pital where she submitted to tests.
Donald Case, Pearl River, N. Y.,
recently spent a weekend with his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alva Case.
They also visited Mr. and Mrs. Wil-
liam Lewis, Plymouth.
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Robertson
and daughter, Lindora, Alaquippa,
spent the holiday weekend with Mr.
and Mrs. Earl Kittle, Sr. Visiting
at the Kittle home on Thanksgiving
Day were Mr. and Mrs. Delbert
Stoffle, Bert and Billy, Wilkes-Barre;
Mr. and Mrs. Francis Cornell, Diane;
Debbie and Dany, Meeker; Mrs.
Arlie Adams, Sweet Valley; Jane

Weekend guests at the home of
Mr. and Mrs. Peter Maransky were
Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Roman, An-
thony, Regina, Helen and Penny,
Philadelphia. Joining the family
for Thanksgiving. dinner were the
Maransky’s son-in-law and daugh-
ter, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lamor-
eaux, Chase.
Mrs. George Lasco is undergoing
| tests at the Nesbitt Hospital.
Kay Altmus and daughter, Fran-
cine, Orwigsburg, are visiting Mrs.
Altmus’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray-
mond Shaw. :
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schobert and
children; Freddie and Susan; expect
to be settled in their newly con-
structed home at Exeter Township,
Reading, by Christmas. Fred is an
insurance adjuster with the Har-
leyville Insurance Co. Mr. and Mrs.
Gilbert Phares, Noxen, have pur-
chased the Shobert home at Pikes
Creek. The Phares are parents of
seven children, three of whom are
married and four residing at home.
Mrs. Caroline Ferry is spending
a week’s vacation with her sister,
Margaret” Aton, Binghamton.
Enjoying ‘Thanksgiving dinner
with the Thomas Sayres were Mr.
and Mrs. Raymond Marso and
daughter, Barbara, Wilkes-Barre;
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Sayre, Chris-
tine and Cathy; Tom and Shirley,
their children, Tommy, Debbie and

Bess Klinetob has received word
that her brother and sister-in-law,
Rev. and Mrs. C. B. Klinetob, Afton,
N. Y., have arrived safely at St.
Petersburg, Florida, where they
have a mobile home at the’ Cross
Winds Trailer Court.
Robert Rinker, Wilkes-Barre,
spent the holiday weekend with his
uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. George
J. Sabaluski.
Mrs. . George Marshalek and
daughters, Patricia, Mary Ann and
Alberta, left International Airport,
Philadelphia, ‘via [Pan-American
Airlines for Weishaden, Germany,
to join her husband, Captain George
Marshalek. Mrs. Marshalek, the

Shirley Mae Benscocter and Clif-
ford Hontz on Saturday at Ply-

Mr. and Mrs. Alton Johnson,
daughters Carol and Alana, Hills of
Hope, were the ‘guests of Mr. John-
son’s brother-in-law and sister, Mr.
and Mrs. ‘Sam Farrell, Philadelphia,
over the holiday weekend. Mr. and
Mrs. Larry Johnson, Philadelphia,
accompanied home the f ‘ormer’s
mother, Mrs. Catherine Johnson,
who had been da guest several weeks
at the Alton Johnson’s. Also visit-
ing the Johnsons were Mrs. Ruth
Boyd, a missionary from Holland,
and Betty Clayton, Philadelphia.

Barry and Eddie, spent last week-
end visiting their parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Paul Cain, Sr., and Mr. and
Mrs. Ralph Cope, Lime Ridge.
David Coslett, student at Blooms-
burg State Teachers College, and his
brother and family, Mr. and Mrs.
Bdward Coslett, Paul and Carl,
Shinglehouse, were the guests over
the holiday weekend of Mr. and
Mrs. David Coslett, Sr., North Lake.
Edward Coslett is supervising prin-
cipal of Oswego Valley Jointure
Schools.

Mr. and Mrs. Loren Cragle, Jr,
attended the former's fifteenth class
reunion at the Castle Inn Saturday
night. This was the Lake-Lehman
class of 1946. :
Mrs. Edith Long, who resides with
Mr. and Mrs. Loren Cragle, Sr. is
visiting in Wilkes-Barre with her
son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and
Mrs. Thomas Long.
Ross Elementary School commit-
tee met in the school auditorium
November 20. Plans were made for
a TV Talent Variety Show on De-
cember 2, at 8:15 p. m. The com-
mittee will not meet in December.
The next meeting will be January
29. All parents of Ross students are
urged to attend.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Whitesell,
Fades, were pleasantly surprised on
Thanksgiving when. they received a
phone call from their son, John, a
student at Bacone College, Bacone,
Oklahoma. Visitors over the holi-
day weekend at the Whitesell home
were Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Cragle,
Stephen and David, Montoursville,
and Ruth Strub, West Pittston.
