Mr. and Mrs. George Bednar,
John Bedner, Hazletine Street, and
Frances Lenahan, Mt. Airy Road,
spent last week-end in Pittsburg.
They stayed at the, Penn-Sheridan
Hotel, The highlight of the trip was
the Pitt-Notre Dame Football Game.
The former's son George, Jr. is a
member of the Notre Dame team.
While there they spoke to the coach
and were told that great things
are being expected of their son in
his last two years of college. They
also had the privilege of being in-
troduced to all the members of the
team.
Mrs. Nora Hall, Sunset Ave. will
spend Thanksgiving Day with her
nephew and his family, Mr. and
Mrs, George Stevenson, Barnesville,
Pa. On Monday, Mrs. Hall will ac-
company her sister and brother-in-
law, Dr. and Mrs. Albert Blase,
Ferguson Ave. to their winter home
in Ft. Pierce, Fiorida. |
Anne T. Apaciano recently vis-
ited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sam
Spaciano, ~~ Shagbark = Drive. Miss
Spaciano resides in Harrisburg. We
are happy to report that Mr. Spac-
jano is recovering micely from rec-
ent surgery at Nesbitt Hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. John Suchy, Pitts-
burg, spent a week-end with Mr.
and Mrs. Louis J. Spaciano, Divis-

spent enjoyable hours hashing over

Queen of the Ball
Our own Peggy Thompson, Per-
rin Avenue was selected as Queen
of the Ball at the recent Harvest
Ball held annually by the Dallas
Kiwanians. Peggy is the wife of
Edwin Thompson and the mother |
of Roy, 5; Booth 4; Ned 2, and Lisa '
1. Along with being active in civic.
affairs, being a very busy house- |
wife and mother, Peggy found time
to create the gown she wore at the
ball. It was fashioned along simple
lines and the fabric was Hot Pink
satin. From all reports a better
choice for queen could not have been
made. Peggy was presented with a
golden crown, a beautiful bouquet
of chrysanthemums and a gift of
money. ;
Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Thompson
and ‘family, Perrin Avenue, will
spend the Thanksgiving week-end
visiting Mr. and Mrs. Russell Thomp-
son of Pineville, Pa.
