Dallas Senior High
School News
Magazine Drive
The Magazine Drive, is well under
way with another week of canvas-
ing remaining under the leadership
of Barry Slocum, assisted by Susan
Owens. We are happy to report
that we are more than half way
to reaching our goal of $1200. How-
ever, that does not mean we should
sit back and let the next fellow
work. Victory can only be reached
with each and every one working
and doing his best. So let’s get out
and really work! or buy!
Fall
The true arrival of Fall can be
seen everywhere. One cannot help
but notice the beautiful trees with
their vari-tinted leaves gracing our
countryside. Even the brisk morn-
ing air that greets us as we leave
the house chills us into noticing
the surrounding beauty. The change
from cottons to woolens also signi-
fies the coming of autumn. How-
ever, before we even have had time
to actually appreciate the handi-
craft of Mother Nature, it will be
covered by a heavy blanket of that
white stuff we so dread. So get
out and take notice of the beauty
around us if you haven't been a-
ware of it.
Chorus
Practice for those interested in
joining the Dallas Senior High
Chorus, has begun under the direc-
tion of Miss Louise Ohlman. Judy
Williams is President; Sandy Am-
brose, Vice-President, and Dana
Jones, Librarian. A «Christmas pro-
gram is being planned for presen-
tation before the Christmas vaca-
tion. Miss Ohlman has made it
known that anyone interested in
joining after Christmas may do so.
The club is scheduled to meet
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday
of each week.”

ent Council, Dale Mosier. Music was

Keyettes - Miss Elfriede Hefft,
one of our Keyettes, was fourth

ley. For her talent she sang
“Tammy’’; for sportswear she mod-
eled an outfit of green plaid slacks,
green bulky-knit sweater, and ivory
colored coat lined with alpaca; for
evening wear she wore a rose col-
ored, satin cocktail dress with a
scooped neckline in front and pack.
We are very proud of our beautiful *
Elfriede, who desires to be a nurse
and a model. {
