‘Mr. and Mrs. Hanford Eckman,
Machell Avenue, have as guests the
former’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Han-
ford Eckman of Dade City, Fla.
Mr. Eckman came north to attend
the American Rocket Society Show.
Mrs. Eckman is enjoying the grand-
children. >
Mrs. Harry Ohlman, Norton Ave-
nue, will leave Wednesday with
Miriam Lathrop for her new home
in Sun City, Arizona. They expect
to be on the road for about ten
days. Clara expects to go on to
lifornia to visit relatives after
she gets Miriam settled.
Tom Kupstas, Huntsville, submit-
ted to minor surgery at Mercy
Hospital on Friday.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Nagy, Bay-
side, Va., spent several days last
week visiting Grace Machell, Machell
Avenue, Dallas. Mrs. Nagy is the
former Peggy Jones of Lehman
Avenue, She and her husband were
on the way back from a New Eng-
land trip. She says the folks are
fine, Jimmy is a senior this year
and expects to go to college next
fall.
Mr. and Mrs. Ross DeWolfe and
daughter, Nancy, Carverton Road,
have moved to Raleigh, N. C. The
DeWolfes have been residents of
the Back Mountain Area for fourteen
years, Mr. DeWolfe, formerly op-
erator of a parking lot in Wilkes-
Barre, is engaged in tile work in
Joleich, J
“Mrs. Doris Mallin, Pinecrest Ave-
nue, spent last week in Elizabeth,
N. J.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Peterson and
Howard Risley, all celebrated birth-
{ay anniversaries last weekend. The
@tersong spent the weekend visit-
ing Pete’s Mother in Massachusetts.
Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Norfors, 28
Burndale Road, Dallas, announce
the birth of a son on September 17
in Nesbitt Hospital.
- Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Getz,
RD 1, Dallas, announce the birth
of a daughter on September 20 in
General Hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. Emerson Adams and
family, formerly of Northville,
Mich., have rented one of the Hed-
den apartments on Birch Hill Lane.
The Adams boys, Scott, twenty and
David, twenty-two are in college.
Mr. Adams is field representative for
Standard Brands,
Mr. and Mrs. James Tonrey and
family have moved from Union,
N. J, to New Goss Manor. Mr.
Tonrey is an agent for Connecticut
Life Insurance Company,

Summit were recent visitors to the

Candy Poad, daughter of Mr. and

town, has been confined to her
home with a virus infection.
Cards have been received from
Harry Evans who has been sent
with the armed forces to Alaska.
He hasn’t received his copies of the
Post as yet and misses it.

way Manor, with their children,
now at Trucksville grade school,
will leave shortly for New Jersey.

make his home with his daughter

Mr. and Mrs. Carl Warmouth and
family, former Back Mountain resi-
dents, are now living near Pitts-
burgh where Carl was transferred
by Air Products.
Mrs. Gideon Howell, Trucksville,

Mrs. Newton Davenport and family
of Kunkletown.
Mr. and Mrs, Nicholas Riggi, for-
merly of Falmouth, Cape Cod, are

Mr. and Mrs, Herbert Spencer,
Harris Hill Road, Trucksville, an-
nounce the marriage of their daugh-
ter, Pauline, to James Griffiths,
son of Mr, and Mrs. Arthur Grif-
fiths ‘of Plymouth and Harveys
Lake. Rev. Robert Yost performed
the ceremony in Shavertown Metho-
dist Church on Tuesday, October 10,
7 p.m.
The bride, given in marriage by
her father wore white street length
sheath dress and white nose veil at-
tached to tiny bandeau. She carried
white mums and pink carnations.
Mrs. William = 'Streater of Blooms-
burg was matron of honor. She
|’ bride and the couple left for the
selected blue street length sheath,
matching accessories, and white
mums and pink carnations. Mr,
Streater acted as best man.
Following the ceremony, a recep-
tion was held at the home of the
shore.
Mrs. Griffiths is a graduate of
Westmoreland High School, Class of
1954 and has been employed by
Roat Hardware. Mr. Griffiths was
graduated from = Plymouth High
School and Penn State College, He
is associated with the Pennsylvania
State Forest and Water Depart-
ment.
The couple resides at Harveys
