Frank Parrish has been recently visiting his Parrish relatives recovery from serious surgery. Not far from the Mt. Zion church we have noticed several bee hives adjoining a field of buckwheat. Buckwheat fields are miore of a rarity than in former years. I surmised the hives were William Perry’s and sure enough they were. In talking with him about them I learned that buckwheat does not always yield the honey it smells There was a gorgeous field of buckwheat blossoms, but the bees made golden rod honey!
