In a contest that saw both teams
move the ball freely, Dallas scored
a 20-14 win over Forty Fort Satur-
day before another large turnout at
Dallas Field.
With Dallas holding a slim 7-0
|lead a wild fourth quarter saw a
total of 27 points scored with both
teams tallying two touchdowns.
Dorosky gave Dallas a 7-0 lead
early in the second period scoring
from 1-yard out to climax a 63-
yard drive.
Dallas upped its lead to 14-0 on
a 23-yard pass play, Hislop to Gaunt-
lett, early in the final period after
a 50-yard drive following a Forty-
Fort fumble at midfield.
Forty Fort narrowed the lead to
14-7 as it surged back with a 64-
yard drive capped by a 23-yard
pass, Fredericks to Hughes.
Dallas took the kick-off and
proceeded to march 6l-yards with
Gauntlett’ scoring on a quick pitch
over the line from quarterback His-
lop.
With Brominski clearing his bench
in the final minute of play Forty
Fort scored on the final play of
the game as Fredericks scampered
33-yards on a keeper play, winding
up a 45-yard drive.
Hislop Intercepts
Dallas took the opening kick-off
and with Andrews and Dorosky eat-
ing up chunks of yardage moved
to the Forty Fort 13' before the
drive stalled.
After a penalty set the Flyers
back to the 8, Antinnes got the
Flyers moving by taking a pass good
for 16-yards to put the ball on the
35. Four running plays by ‘Antinnes
moved the pigskin to the Dallas
43 from where Fredericks elected
to go to the airlanes again only
to have Hislop intercept on the
Dallas 30 and return to the 37
just before the first period ended.
With the Dallas forward wall
again opening up holes for the backs,
Dorosky and Andrews made big
gains to the Forty Fort 20.
Hislop then surprised the Flyers
by running the “keeper play” to
reach the 9-yard line. A penalty
moved the ball to the 5-yard stripe.
Dorosky followed with a smash to
the 1 from where he carried it
over on the following play. Shrey
booted the extra point.
Flyers Threaten
A 15-yard penalty against Dallas
on the kick-off igave Forty Fort pos-
session on its own 47.
With Antinnes, Eddy and Ed-
munds carrying, the Flyers reached
the Dallas 35 from where Freder-
icks executed a beautiful ‘bootleg
play” and moved to the Dallas 16.

Fort stopped the drive as three
passes went astray.
The Flyers threatened again short-
ly before intermission following a
Dallas punt. With Antinnes and
Eddy making big gains Forty Fort
moved inside Dallas territory and
Fredericks took to the air with
the clock running out only to have
Hislop intercept again at the 20
as the gun ended the half.
Scoreless Third
Neither team scored in the third
period although Dallas did reach
the Flyer 13 before Edmunds inter-
cepted a Hislop pass on the 2-yard
line.
Forty Fort’s deepest penetration
was to the Dallas 39 before Andrews
tossed Fredericks for a 10-yard loss
on an attempted pass.
Take 14-0 Lead
With Forty Fort on the move
following the interception by Ed-
munds, the Flyers moved from their
12 to ‘the midfield stripe before
Bob Eddy was hit hard by Letts
and fumbled with Kaschenbach re-
covering for Dallas.
With Dorosky doing most of the
work Dallas reached the 23 where
the drive bogged. It looked @ as
though Forty Fort had stopped an-
other threat, but on fourth down
Hislop, threw to his rangy right-
end Tom Gauntlett, who made a
fine finger-tip catch in the end-
zone for the score, his first of the
year. Shrey again booted the extra
point.
Hughes Makes Fine Reception
Forty Fort came back strong,
marching 64-yards for its initial
score ‘with freshman Dick Hughes
climaxing the drive with a fine
catch of a [Fredericks pass and
romping in for the TD. Fredericks
passed to Antinnes for the extra
point.
Dan McGurk was the big gainer
in the drive picking up 24 yards,
Gauntlett Target Again
‘Harris took the kick-off and ran
it back to tthe Dallas 39 from where
another long drive started.
, ‘After Dorosky picked up 6-yatds,
Hislop again ran the “keeper”, this
time for 14-yards before being tack-
led by the mask on the Flyers 41.
A 15-yarder against Forty Fort for
mask tackling placed the ball at
the 26.
Dorosky picked up 15 more mov-
ing to the 11, than followed .with
another 5-yard gain to the 6-yard
line. Following a loss of two yards
on two running plays, Hislop hit
Gauntlett ‘with a quick pass over
the line and he fought his way for
the final 5 yards for a score.
