Three members of the Butler
missionary family, Rev. and Mrs.
Harvey J. Butler and daughter,
Shirley, will speak on.India at the
Noxen Independent Bible Church to-
night at 7:45.
Color slides will also be shown
and one member of the family will
wear a native costume and sing in |
Hindustani.
The Butlers, now on furlough,
have engaged in mission work in
northern India since 1927 in a
pioneer field on the plains where
the people had never before heard
the Gospel.
In addition to their usual mission
work, they direct a Self-Help Insti-
tute where poor families can study
and learn various trades which will

| was started on a residence wing at
| the Elizabeth «Church Manor in
Binghamton, N.Y. This third Home
is expected to be in operation in

John Cobleigh, Native
Of Loyalville, Dies
John Cobleigh, 86, died Tuesday
at his home in Endicott. Burial was
on Friday at Endicott.
He was a native of Loyalyille,
son of the late George and Eliza
Whitesell Cobleigh. He spent his
boyhood and young manhood in
Loyalville, where he attended the
Shady Rill one-room school, Later,
he moved to Meeker, and forty-
one ‘years ago to Endicott.
His father George came to this
country from Yorkshire, England,
in a sailing vessel when a lad of
seven.
Mr. and Mrs. John Cobleigh ob-
served their 64th wedding anniv-
ersary last October, Mrs. Cobleigh,
the former Lena Ide, died in Janu-

Endicott; and a daughter, Mrs. Bern-
adine Turner of Buffalo; sisters:
Louise Foss, Sweet Valley, Daisy
Lutz, Cambra; Anna Kocher, Dallas;
Lydia Garnett, Loyalville; brothers:
Arthur, Philadelphia, and Bennett,
East Dallas; two grandchildren and
four greatgrandchildren.
Myrtle V. Park Suffers
Fatal Heart Seizure
Mrs, Myrtle V. Park, Idetown, was
buried Friday in Idetown Cemetery,
following services conducted by Rev.
Grove Armstrong, pastor of Trucks-
ville Free Methodist Church, from
the Bronson Funeral Home.
Mrs. Park, 70, suffered a fatal
heart attack early Wednesday mor-
ning, and was pronounced dead on
admissions to Nesbitt Memorial
Hospital. She had had a less violent
heart seizure two weeks earlier.
She had lived in Idetown for
forty-five years, attending Idetown
Methodist Church,
A’ native of Marsh Creek, Wyo-
ming County, her parents were Allan
P. and Ruth Rood Dymond.
Park; a son Robert, Idetown; a
daughter Mrs. Caddie LaBar, Dallas;
thirteen grandchildren and one
greatgrandchild; brothers and sis-
ters: Mrs. Leonard Wagner and
Andrew Dymond, Warrior Run;
Allan Dymond, Beaumont; Irving
Dymond, West Nanticoke; Mrs, Har-
old Daly, Kingston; Frank Dymond,
Wilkes-Barre. : .
Mrs. Lydia Covert, 83,
Lies At Maple Grove
Mrs. Lydia Covert, 83, of Loyal-
ville, died Sunday morning at Gen-
eral Hospital where she had been
a patient for two weeks, after a long
period of failing health.
[Services were conducted yester-
day by Rev: James Garrahan from
the Bronson Funeral Home, follow-
ed by burial in Maple Grove Ceme-
tery. 8
She was a native of Texas, daugh-
ter of the late George and Emily
Barber Hughey. Coming to this area
as a small child, she lived here for
the rest of her life, attending local
schools.
She belonged to Maple Grove
Methodist Church, and to Sons and
Daughters of Liberty, Kingston
chapter. Her husband Clarence died
in 1949, and a son George in 1956.
She is survived by five children:
Charles, Orange, N. J-; Mrs. Stephen
Michaels, Boundbrook, N. J.; Mrs.
Walter Stevens, Watertown; Jack,
Loyalville; Kenneth, Idetown; a
daughter-in-law, Mrs. Alma Covert,
Sweet Valley; twenty-one grand-
children; a sister Liva Gordon,
Pikes Creek; brothers: John Color-
ado, Ralph, Williamsport: and Paul.
