John Sidorek To Mark
Twenty First Birthday
Radar Man, Second Class, John
Sidorek, will celebrate his twenty-
first birthday anniversary on Sat-
urday, September 16, at Govern-
ment Island, Alameda, Calif., where
he is stationed with the Coast Guard
on a patrol boat.
Son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward
Sidorek Harris Street, Fernbrook,
ne is married to the former Joyce
Fisk, daughter of Mr, and Mrs. Ster-
ling Fisk of Shavertown.
A graduate of Dallas Township
High School, he took his basic train-
ing at Camp May and completed
Radar Coast Guard training at Gro-
ton, Mass. He has been in the
service for two and a half years.
He, his wife and one year old son,
John, Jr., reside at 725 East 15th
Street, Oakland, Calif.
Personal
Janice Bronson has left for San
Bernardino, California, where she
will teach in the second grade, and
carry evening college courses to
complete studies in Guidance. Fly-
ing by jet, she stopped off in Arizona
to see Jean Davis, a former resident
of Sweet Valley. In Los Angeles she
saw Janet Cornell of Pikes Creek,
and continued to San Bernardino by
auto-gyro,
Dean Bronson has returned to
Shepherd's College, Shepherdstown,
‘W. Va., where another local boy, Bill
Williams of Idetown, a 1961 Lake-
Lehman graduate, is now enrolled
as a freshman.
Ann Peterson resumed her teach-
ing duties in Montreal last week.
Mr. and Mrs. Morton Baumgarten,
newlyweds, spent the weekend with
the former's parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Ben Baumgarten, Sterling Avenue,
Dallas.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gearhard,
Demunds Road; have announced the
birth of a baby girl at General
- Hospital on September 7.
Mrs. Wesley Oliver, Binghamton,
N. Y., spent several days last week
visiting her mother, Mrs. Ralph
Rood, Dallas; who celebrated her
birthday anniversary. ;
Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Harris, Har-
veys Lake R. D., have announced
the birth of a son at General Hos-
pital on September 7.
Mrs. F. M. Gordon and Mrs. Flor-
ence Phillips, Norton Avenue, have

son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Lou Taylor,
Atlanta, Ga.
Mr. and Mrs. John Fluck, Harv-
eys Lake, with seven-year-old daugh-
ter Katherine, spent the Labor Day
weekend in Philadelphia and at Fort
Dix, where they visited their son
James, who enlisted in the army
in, June. John Fluck Jr. of Wilkes-
Barre, with his wife, spent a five
days vacation between Philadelphia
and Fort Dix.

day for New Jersey, where she will
teach at the New Rochelle Junior

Thelma A. Lamoreux has re-
turned to her home on 42nd Street
after spending two weeks in South-
ern California. Mrs. Lamoreéux flew
by T.W.A. Jet to Whittier where
she was guest of her niece and

Escorted by her father to an
altar flanked by twin bouquets of
white gladioli and 'mums, the bride
wore a gown of white rosepoint lace
and silk organza. The bodice was
underscored with a self fabric bow
and silk organza piping accented
the scalloped neckline and elbow-
length sleeves. Self-fabric bows
created interest at the back of the
bouffant skirt that swept into a
chapel train. Y.
‘Adorning her head was a corona-
her fingertip veil of imported silk
illusion fell. She carried a cascade
bouquet of stephanotis centered by
a ‘white orchid and backed by
huckleberry leaves.
The bride's sister, Patricia Prynn,
carried out the duties of maid of
honor. She was dressed in gown
of cloud pink silk erganza over
taffeta highlighted by a shirred bo-
dice with scooped neckline and

ballerina-length skirt was accented
by a bustle bow and French hem.
Her headpiece was a matching petal
cloche, and she carried a white
lace fan festooned with pink tipped
feathered carnations.
A rainbow effect was evidenced
as the bridesmaids, Miss Wilma
Etnyre of Mt. Carroll, Mrs. James
Reeder and Mrs. Donald Doyle,
