Mrs. Stoner is the former Dilys
Rowlands. Trucksville. Her mother,

SANDRA LEE MORRIS
Mr. and Mrs. David J. Morris,
Noxen, announce the engagement
and approaching marriage of their
daughter, Sandra Lee, to Ronald
Lee Swingle, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Carl Siglin of Noxen.
Miss Morris, a graduate of Lake-
Noxen ‘High School, was graduated
School of Nursing, Wilkes Barre, in
the Class of 1961. Mr. Swingle
was also graduated from Lake-
Noxen High School. He ‘is em-
ployed as foreman at the Armour
Leather Company in Noxen.
The wedding will take place in

8 at 8 p.m.

Sixth Legislative District Repub-
lican 6-50 Club will hold its first
annual outing Saturday, September
9, at Wisnieski’s Pine Brook Grove
on Demunds Road from 1 to 9 P.M.
Mrs. Anna Marie Chappell, Sum-
mit Street, Shavertown, will celeb-
rate her ninetieth birthday anniver-
sary September 4. Her children plan
a dinner party and will have open
house for family and friends after-
noon and evening of September 3, at

Born in Denmark, Anna Marie
Neilson came to this country when
she was eighteen and settled in
Wilkes-Barre. Her first husband,
Oliver Phebey, was killed 54 years
ago while at work in Conyngham
Mine.
After marrying William Chappell
the couple moved to the present
home in Shavertown, where Mrs.
Chappell has lived for 37 years. Mr,

Celebrates Ninetieth. Birthday
Chappell passed away in 1945.
Mrs. Chappell has always taken
pleasure in helping at the Shaver-
town Methodist Church and is an
active member of the W.S.CS. and
Beruin Sunday School Class.

crocheting and reading and helps
with the housework.
